EU Tai Chung
Resources Capital Football Club () is a Hong Kong football club which currently competes in the Hong Kong First Division. It was known as Tai Chung Football Club () for the first 34 years of its existence before rebranding in 2016. History Tai Chung has competed in the Hong Kong football league system league since 2001. Between 2009 and 2011, Tai Chung once competed in the First Division, the top-flight league in Hong Kong at that time. Since their relegation in 2011, the club has competed in the second-tier amateur league. In 2016, the club was acquired by Tang Wai Ho, and was renamed as Resources Capital. Ahead of the 2019–20 season, club ownership increased the budget to $6 million and turned the club into a professional outfit, aiming to gain promotion to the Hong Kong Premier League in the following season. Hong Kong First Division League
The Hong Kong First Division League () is the second-highest division in the Hong Kong football league system. Established in 1908, it is the List of oldest football competitions, third oldest in Asia, after Calcutta and Bombay. Moreover, it is the oldest top-flight league system in Asia. The league was formerly the highest division in Hong Kong until the formation of the Hong Kong Premier League in 2014. Since 1908, a total of 29 clubs have been crowned List of Hong Kong football champions, champions of the Hong Kong football system. South China AA, South China are the most successful club, having won 41 times since their first participation in 1941. 2009–10 Hong Kong First Division League
The 2009–10 Hong Kong Football Association First Division League (known as HKFA bma First Division League for sponsorship reasons) was the 98th top tier football league of Hong Kong. Because of the renovation of Mong Kok Stadium which will last for two league seasons, the current First Division League has allocated eight stadia for the eleven participating teams to play their home games. The inaugural match was held between South China and Tai Chung on 6 September 2009. It was the first time since 1987–88 season that the inaugural match was not played between the former season champion and runner-up. Hong Kong Football Association disqualified Tuen Mun Progoal on 27 November 2009 due to Tuen Mun Progoal defaulting on labour insurance. The title was won by South China, their fourth consecutive title. Happy Valley and Shatin were relegated at the end of the season.
