''EP 1'', also simply ''EP'', is the first EP released by British downtempo duo Zero 7. The release was limited to 1000 copies. Tracks Whilst the A Side tracks are featured on the album '' Simple Things'', the track "Out of Town" differs to the version that appears on the aforementioned album. The track "Lo" has been featured on a mix CD by Layo & Bushwacka! Layo & Bushwacka! is the pseudonym of British Disc jockey, DJ duo Layo Paskin and Matthew Benjamin, who released four tech house albums between 1998 and 2012. Layo Paskin Paskin, from London, began his DJ career at the age of sixteen while wor ..., and is the reason behind the track being referred to as Lo (Layo and Bushwacka! Remix) in many areas. It is one of the few times the track has actually appeared on CD or in digital form (Lo has since seen release on the Deluxe version of '' Record''). Zero 7
Zero 7 is an English musical duo consisting of Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker. Both of them began as studio engineers and in 1997 formed the group Zero 7. Their debut album, '' Simple Things'', was released in 2001; their song "Destiny" stayed in the top 100 of the UK Single Charts. Subsequent albums include ''When It Falls'', '' The Garden'', and '' Yeah Ghost''. After studying sound engineering, Binns and Hardaker began their careers in the music industry in the 1990s at Mickie Most's RAK Studios in London, engineering music for British groups like Pet Shop Boys, Young Disciples, and Robert Plant. In 1997 they created a remix of the song "Climbing Up the Walls" by Radiohead (which was also the first time the name 'Zero 7' was used), provided additional programming on "Meeting in the Aisle", a ''Karma Police'' B-side, and Binns received a credit for additional sampling on '' Kid A''. ''Simple Things'' is the debut studio album by English duo Zero 7, released on 23 April 2001. It peaked at number 28 on the UK Albums Chart, staying on the chart for 56 weeks. It was nominated for the Mercury Prize. Five singles, such as "Destiny" and "In the Waiting Line", promoted the album prior to its release. Layo & Bushwacka! is the pseudonym of British Disc jockey, DJ duo Layo Paskin and Matthew Benjamin, who released four tech house albums between 1998 and 2012. Layo Paskin Paskin, from London, began his DJ career at the age of sixteen while working at Camden Market. Not long after, he began DJing at Acid house party, warehouse parties with Mr. C. In the course of his work, Paskin's father discovered the building that would become The End (club), The End, a 19th-century stable for mail horses.
