EPTB Seine Grands Lacs
EPTB Seine Grands Lacs is a public territorial basin institution created in 1969 under the name of ''Institution interdépartementale des barrages-réservoirs du bassin de la Seine''. Grouping together the departments of the former Seine, its mission is to reduce the winter and spring floods of the Seine and its main tributaries (the Yonne, Marne (department), Marne and Aube) and to support their summer and autumn flows. The EPTB Seine Grands Lacs acts within the framework of the Seine Plan to reduce the vulnerability of territories to flooding. It was formerly known as ''Grands lacs de Seine''. By extension, the term "Grands lacs de Seine" also refers to all the artificial lakes in Burgundy and Champagne-Ardenne, built and managed by this establishment. Lakes Amance And Du Temple
Lakes Amance and du Temple are the two Artificiality, human-made lakes that together form the Aube reservoir. They are located in the Aube department, in the Grand Est region of France. The former is Europe's largest lake reserved for motorboating, and the latter is Europe's largest non-nautical lake. Lake Der-Chantecoq
Lake Der-Chantecoq (, ) is situated close to the commune of Saint-Dizier in the departments of Marne and Haute-Marne. It is the largest artificial lake in France, covering with 350 million m³ of water. The lake is named after the plain, in which it is located, and the submerged village Chantecoq. The lake is fed by a 12 km long canal that branches off the river Marne in Saint-Dizier. The outflow of the lake is a canal that joins the Marne in Arrigny, 20 km downstream of Saint-Dizier. The lake is located in the communes (clockwise starting from the north) Sainte-Marie-du-Lac-Nuisement, Éclaron-Braucourt-Sainte-Livière, Giffaumont-Champaubert, Arrigny, Larzicourt and Écollemont. Conurbation
A conurbation is a region consisting of a number of metropolises, cities, large towns, and other urban areas which, through population growth and physical expansion, have merged to form one continuous urban or industrially developed area. In most cases, a conurbation is a wikt:polycentric, polycentric urbanised area in which transportation has developed to link areas. Baseflow (also called drought flow, groundwater recession flow, low flow, low-water flow, low-water discharge and sustained or fair-weather runoff) is the portion of the streamflow that is sustained between precipitation events, fed to streams by delayed pathways.
