East Paulding High School
East Paulding High School is a public secondary school located in Dallas, Georgia, United States. EPHS was established in 1991 and is nestled in one of the country's fastest-growing counties. The school's enrollment is approaching 1800 students. Brad Thomason was appointed Principal during the summer of 202 History The school was founded in 1991. In 2009, the school added a 44-classroom, two-story building, including a cosmetology lab and a new band room, nearly doubling the school's capacity. In June 2017, a fire destroyed the gymnasium while contractors were repairing the school's HVAC system and roof. Athletics The East Paulding Football Program ushered in a new era under first year Head Coach Chris Hirschfield in 2022. East Providence High School is a public high school located in East Providence, Rhode Island. It instructs grade levels 9 through 12 and is operated by the East Providence School Department. As of the 2014-15 year, there was an approximate student population of 1,500 students. History 1952 - 2021 building The old East Providence High School opened its doors in 1952 as East Providence Senior High School. It replaced the original 1884 school building on Broadway that later became Central Junior High School. It was one of the first modern high schools built during the early 1950s that deviated from previous architectural styles. Elthorne Park High School (sometimes abbreviated to 'EPHS') is a secondary school located just off Boston Road (the A3002) in Hanwell, a town in the London Borough of Ealing. It provides education for pupils aged from 11 (year 7), until 18 (year 13). Year 13 and Year 12 students are sixth form students. Developments Elthorne became a Maths and Computing specialist school in September 2007, and its Sixth Form opened in September 2009. It became an authorised IB World School in 2008 and once offered the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme as its main pre-University course, as well as a variety of applied and vocational courses. The Williams Ephs ( ) are the varsity intercollegiate athletic programs of Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. The school sponsors 32 varsity sports, most of which compete in the Division III New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC). The school's men's and women's ski teams and men's and women's squash teams compete in Division I. The Ephs' nickname (which rhymes with "chiefs") is a shortened form of the name of Ephraim Williams, the college's founder. The Ephs' mascot is a purple cow, and their colors are purple and gold. The school's athletic director is Lisa Melendy. Williams, along with fellow NESCAC members Amherst and Wesleyan, is part of the Little Three rivalry, one of the oldest continually contested rivalries in college athletics. Eph receptors (Ephs, after erythropoietin-producing human hepatocellular receptors) are a group of receptors that are activated in response to binding with Eph receptor-interacting proteins (Ephrins). Ephs form the largest known subfamily of receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs). Both Eph receptors and their corresponding ephrin ligands are membrane-bound proteins that require direct cell-cell interactions for Eph receptor activation. Eph/ephrin signaling has been implicated in the regulation of a host of processes critical to embryonic development including axon guidance, formation of tissue boundaries, cell migration, and segmentation.
