EC Noroeste
Esporte Clube Noroeste, commonly referred to as Noroeste, is a Brazilian professional association football club based in Bauru, São Paulo. The team competes in the Campeonato Paulista Série A1, the first tier of the São Paulo state football league. Named after a now-defunct railway, Noroeste is a very traditional team within São Paulo state. Their home ground is Estádio Alfredo de Castilho (supports 18,866 people). History Noroeste was founded on September 1, 1910, on the same day as Corinthians, one of the most popular club in Brazil. The club became professional only in 1948. Before that year, it won the Campeonato do Interior, the most prestigious tournament among São Paulo countryside teams, in 1943. Ten years later (1953), Noroeste were promoted to Campeonato Paulista (state championship) first division. Estádio Alfredo De Castilho
Estádio Alfredo de Castilho, known as Alfredo de Castilho or Alfredão, is a multi-use stadium in Bauru, São Paulo, Brazil. It is used mostly for football matches, and has a maximum capacity of 18,866 people. History A stadium named after Alfredo de Castilho was built in 1935, honouring an engineer who was the director of NOB (Noroeste de Obras do Brasil) at the time. It was used until 23 November 1958, when a fire destroyed a part of the stands during a match against São Paulo. Neuciano de Jesus Gusmão (; born 26 December 1988), commonly known as Cicinho (), is a professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Defender (association football)#Full back, right back for Esporte Clube Noroeste, Noroeste. Born in Brazil, he played for the Bulgaria national football team, Bulgaria national team. Cicinho made his professional debut aged 19 for Clube do Remo, Remo, with whom he won two successive Campeonato Paraense championships, before moved to Esporte Clube Juventude, Juventude in December 2008. After Juventude's relegation from the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B, Série B, Cicinho was transferred to Brasiliense Futebol Clube, Brasiliense, where he won Campeonato Brasiliense in 2011.
