EA Vancouver
EA Vancouver (formerly known as EA Burnaby, then EA Canada) is a Canadian video game developer located in Burnaby, British Columbia. The development studio opened as Distinctive Software in January 1983, and is also Electronic Arts's largest and oldest studio. EA Vancouver employs approximately 1,300 people, and houses the world's largest video game test operation. It is best known for developing a lot of EA Sports and EA Sports BIG titles, including EA Sports FC (formerly FIFA), NHL, SSX, NBA Street, NFL Street, EA Sports UFC, and FIFA Street titles. As well as a number of NBA Live and NCAA Basketball titles between 1994 and 2009. ''NBA Street'' is a series of arcade-style basketball video games produced by EA Sports BIG. It combines the talent and big names of the National Basketball Association, NBA with the attitude and atmosphere of streetball. Since the original game's debut in 2001, incarnations of the series have been released for the PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox (console), Xbox, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. EA Seattle
Manley & Associates was an independent software developer, founded in 1982, which developed or ported over 70 video games, multimedia, and educational entertainment titles which were published by other companies, including Electronic Arts, Activision, Disney, GameTek, Publishing International, and Spectrum HoloByte. Many of the company's early games were one or two person projects created in founder Ivan Manley's house, but eventually it grew to roughly 60 people working from an office park in Issaquah, Washington. In the mid-1990s, Manley & Associates ported some games for Electronic Arts and was subsequently acquired by EA in 1996. EA Sports is a division of Electronic Arts that develops and publishes sports video games. NCAA Basketball (series)
''NCAA Basketball'' (formerly ''NCAA March Madness'') is a series of college basketball video games that was published by EA Sports from 1998 until 2009. After EA Sports' rival publisher 2K Sports cancelled its own college basketball game, College Hoops, in 2008, EA changed the name of the series from ''NCAA March Madness'' to ''NCAA Basketball''. The series was discontinued on February 10, 2010. It was released on PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Xbox, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
