E. Thomas is an Italian fabric mill established in Brusimpiano in 1922 by Ernesto Thomas. The mill's fabrics include a range of blends combining wool with silk, Chinese and Mongolian cashmere, mohair and linen. The mill is located on the Italian shore of Lake Lugano. Clients Club Monaco's head of menswear, Aaron Levine, chose E. Thomas fabric for the brand's Grant suit. Hickey Freeman uses E. Lanificio Fratelli Cerruti
The Lanificio Fratelli Cerruti is an Italian privately held business which produces fine fabrics for haute couture. Founded in 1881 by Antonio Cerruti together with his two brothers and a cousin, it has since been managed by the Cerruti family and is currently owned by Fratelli Piacenza. It is a separate company from the Cerruti 1881 luxury fashion house owned by the Hong Kong conglomerate Trinity Ltd., which was in turn purchased by Shandong Ruyi in 2017. As of 2019, the Lanificio still produces 100% of its fabrics in the Biella headquarters. In 2022 Fratelli Piacenza, Gruppo Piacenza S.p.a. bought the company. Luciano Barbera is a high-end men’s clothing company based in Biella, Italy, a town and commune in the northern Italian region of Piedmont. History Prior to producing a clothing company, the Barbera family owned and operated the Carlo Barbera Mill, also located in Biella, Italy. In 1962, Luciano Barbera (son of Carlo Barbera) was photographed by ''Vogue'' in a suit made with his family's fabrics. Years later, the owner of the US menswear store LouisBoston offered Luciano to sell his line of clothes, which led the latter to create his clothing brand.
