Děčín–Dresden-Neustadt Railway
The Děčín–Dresden railway, also called the Elbe Valley Railway (German: ''Elbtalbahn'') is an electrified main line (railway), main line in Saxony and the Czech Republic. Formerly called the Saxon-Bohemian State Railway (''Sächsisch-Böhmische Staatseisenbahn''), the line is part of the Dresden to Prague route and is one of Europe's most important trunk routes (''Magistralen''). It runs along the Elbe, Elbe Valley from Děčín via Bad Schandau and Pirna to Dresden. The first section of the line was opened in 1848 and is one of the List of the first German railways to 1870, oldest lines in Germany. Importance The Děčín–Dresden line is part of line 22 of the Trans-European Transport Networks (TEN-T; Athens–Sofia–Budapest–Vienna–Prague–Nuremberg/Dresden) and received €11 million in 2000 to 2006 from the European Regional Development Fund. Biela (river)
The Biela (German name) or Bělá or Ostrovská Bělá (Czech names) is a river in eastern Germany and northern Czech Republic, a left tributary of the Elbe. The source is near Ostrov hamlet in the municipality of Tisá, in the Bohemian Switzerland, northwest of Děčín. After a few km it crosses into Saxony (and the Saxon Switzerland). Bautzen–Bad Schandau Railway
The Bautzen–Bad Schandau railway is a 64-kilometre long railway line in the state of Saxony, Germany, which connects Bautzen to Bad Schandau via Neukirch/Lausitz, Neustadt in Sachsen and Sebnitz. The railway was opened fully in 1898. The part between Neustadt in Sachsen and Bad Schandau is also known as ''Sebnitztalbahn'' (Sebnitz (river), Sebnitz valley railway). Today only the sections of Wilthen–Oberottendorf and Neustadt–Bad Schandau are still in operation. Bad Schandau Station
Bad Schandau station is a minor junction station in Bad Schandau in the German state of Saxony. The station is located on the south bank on the Elbe on the Děčín–Dresden-Neustadt railway and it is also the terminus of the Bautzen–Bad Schandau railway. The town is located on the north side of the river and is connected to the station by a ferry and a road bridge. Bad Schandau is a frontier station for international traffic between Germany and the Czech Republic. Krippen () is a railway station in the village of Krippen in the municipality of Bad Schandau, Saxony, Germany. Krippenbach
The Krippenbach is a small river of Saxony, Germany. It is a left tributary of the Elbe, which it joins in Krippen, near Bad Schandau. It has an elevation of 136 meters.
