Krzesimir Dębski
Krzesimir Marcin Dębski (; born 26 October 1953 in Wałbrzych) is a Polish composer, conductor and jazz violinist. His music career as a musician has been that of a performer as well as composer of classical music, opera, television and feature films. In 2024, he became the recipient of the Gloria Artis Gold Medal for Merit to Culture. Professional career Dębski was born in 1953 in Wałbrzych and began attending a music school in Kielce at the age of six. He subsequently studied composition with Andrzej Koszewski, and conducting with Witold Krzemieński, at the Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań, Poland. Following graduation, Dębski became interested in jazz. Since 1982, as the leader and violinist of the jazz group ''String Connection'', he has performed in the United States, Canada and over 25 countries in Europe. Sławomir Dębski
Sławomir Jan Dębski (born 23 May 1971) is a Polish historian who has served as director of Polish Institute of International Affairs from 2007 until 2010 and again from 2016 until 2024. He previously headed The Centre for Polish-Russian Dialogue and Understanding (2011–2016), and was a member of the Polish-Russian Group for Difficult Matters. He was assistant professor of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (2007–2010) and Warsaw University (2010–2014). Life In 1996 he graduated from the Faculty of History of Jagiellonian University. Jakub Dębski (born 10 June 1988), known online as Dem or Dem3000, is a cartoonist, writer, and YouTuber most known as the creator of the ''Kuce z Bronksu'' animated web series. Eugeniusz Dębski
Eugeniusz Dębski (b. 26 January 1952; sometimes referred to as ''EuGeniusz'', a word-play coined after the Polish word for genius) is a Polish science-fiction writer and translator of Russian literature. Born in Truskavets (then in USSR), early in his life he moved to Poland to settle in Wrocław where he graduated from the Russian faculty of Wrocław University. He is known primarily as the author of numerous novels (mostly science fiction and fantasy), and several hundred short stories, published in Polish journals including ''Fantastyka'', ''Nowa Fantastyka'', ''Science Fiction (Polish magazine), Science Fiction'', ''Fenix (magazine), Fenix'' and ''Portal''. Zbigniew Dębski
Zbigniew Dębski (29 November 1922 in Łasin – 10 April 2010) was a Polish soldier and co-founder of the Union of Warsaw Uprising, Warsaw Insurgents. He died in the 2010 Polish Air Force Tu-154 crash near Smolensk on 10 April 2010. He was posthumously awarded the Order of Polonia Restituta.
