Délice Paloma
''Délice Paloma'' is a 2007 French-Algerian film directed by Nadir Moknèche and starring Biyouna. It tells the story of Madame Aldjeria, her past life, her glory, her dream, and her downfall as queen of petty dealing, 'the mafieuse', against the backdrop of Algiers and the Algeria of Independence to today. Plot "You need a building permit? You are alone one evening? Call the national benefactress, Madame Aldjéria: she will arrange it. Baya Bouzar (; born September 13, 1952), known by the stage name Biyouna (), is an Algerian singer, dancer, and actress born in Belcourt, now known as Belouizdad, Algiers, Algeria. Early life Having a very early passion for singing, she was a member of several groups: first in Fadhéla Dziria's group where she played tambourine, another that she directed with her partner Flifla, and finally her own where she was the main vocalist and became sought after for wedding receptions. At the age of 17, she began performing in some of the biggest cabarets in the city and at 19 started dancing at the Copacabana. Ahmed Benaissa (2 March 1944 – 20 May 2022) was an Algerian actor, best known for the roles in the critically acclaimed films ''Étoile aux dents ou Poulou le magnifique'', ''Gates of the Sun'', and ''Close Enemies''. Personal life He was born in Algeria in a family of five girls and four boys. His father was an activist who was arrested and imprisoned in Algeria. However he was then released after Algerian Independence. He later moved to Paris, French Fifth Republic, France. He lived for almost 18 years in France. During this period, he received training at the National Theater School. He was married and was a father of two boys.
