Dárvin Chávez
Dárvin Francisco Chávez Ramírez (born 21 November 1989) is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a left-back. He is an Olympic gold medalist. Club career He started his career at Atlas, starting out playing for their second team, Académicos de Atlas, in the Ascenso MX before making his debut for the first team on 11 October 2008 against Monterrey, in a game that ended 0–0. In total he made 61 Primera appearances for Atlas. On 4 April 2018, Chávez joined Finnish second tier side FF Jaro on a deal until the end of the 2018 season. On 13 January 2020, Chávez joined Veikkausliiga club SJK Seinäjoki on a one-year deal. He left the club on 13 November 2020. Zapopan
Zapopan () is a city and municipality located in the Mexican state of Jalisco. Part of the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area, Zapopan is the largest city in the state. It's best known as the home of the Virgin of Zapopan, an image of the Virgin Mary made in the 16th century. This image has been credited with a number of miracles, has been recognized by popes, and was visited by Pope John Paul II. CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship
The CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship was an association football competition organized by CONCACAF as its continental qualifying tournament for the men's olympic teams from North America, Central America and the Caribbean, to determine the qualified teams for the Olympic football tournament. The olympic teams were represented by amateur players (1964–1988) and later by under-23 players since 1992. The tournament was held from 1964 to 2020. On 16 September 2021, CONCACAF announced that the representatives at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games will qualify through the 2022 CONCACAF U-20 Championship. Football At The 2011 Pan American Games – Men's Tournament
The men's association football tournament at the 2011 Pan American Games was held in Guadalajara, Mexico at the Estadio Omnilife from 19 to 28 October 2011. Associations affiliated with FIFA were invited to send their men's U-22 national teams, with 3 no-age-limit players per team allowed. Ecuador were the defending champions from the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, defeating Jamaica 2–1, but they were eliminated during the group stage. For these Games, the men competed in an eight-team tournament, which is a drop from 12 at the 2007 games. Preliminary matches commenced on 19 October. The teams were grouped into two pools of four teams each for a round-robin preliminary round. The top two teams in each pool advanced to a four-team single-elimination bracket. Football at the Pan American Games is an association football competition organized by Panam Sports in the continental multi-sport event of the Pan American Games. The men's tournament has been played since 1951, it has restricted the participation of elite players in various ways. The women's tournament has been played since 1999, it is for senior national teams. The tournament was played in a league format from 1951 to 1963, neither the final nor bronze medal match was hosted. Another format was used in 1971, this time the tournament was played in a group format in the early stages, but played in a league format for the final stages. Copa MX, also known as Copa Corona MX for sponsorship reasons, was an association football competition in Mexico and the domestic cup tournament for clubs at the highest and second levels of Mexican football league system. Formerly known as Copa México (1942–1963, 1970–1997) and also as Copa Presidente (1963–1970), the first season of the professional era was held in 1942–43. The cup tournament was not held in several years (1976–1988, 1992–1994, 1997–2012) and currently the competition has been paused since the 2019–20 edition.
