''Dynamis'' is a biannual peer-reviewed academic journal covering the history of medicine and science. It publishes articles, notes, documents, and reviews in Spanish and English (with some articles in French, Italian, or Portuguese). Contents are freely accessible online six months after publication from Revistes Catalanes amb Accés Obert and SciELO. History The journal was established in 1981 at the University of Granada by five historians of medicine (Luis García Ballester, Teresa Ortiz, Rosa María Moreno, Guillermo Olagüe and Esteban Rodríguez Ocaña). The history of medicine is both a study of medicine throughout history as well as a multidisciplinary field of study that seeks to explore and understand medical practices, both past and present, throughout human societies. More than just history and medicine, this field of study incorporates learnings from across disciplines such as anthropology, economics, health sciences, sociology, and politics to better understand the institutions, practices, people, professions, and social systems that have influenced and shaped medicine throughout the ages. ''Isis'' is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal published by the University of Chicago Press. It covers the history of science, history of medicine, and the history of technology, as well as their cultural influences. Scopus is Elsevier's abstract and citation database launched in 2004. Scopus covers nearly 36,377 titles (22,794 active titles and 13,583 inactive titles) from approximately 11,678 publishers, of which 34,346 are peer-reviewed journals in top-level subject fields: life sciences, social sciences, physical sciences and health sciences. It covers three types of sources: book series, journals, and trade journals. The Science Citation Index Expanded – previously entitled Science Citation Index – is a citation index originally produced by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) and created by Eugene Garfield.
