''Dyesebel'' is a 1990 Filipino romantic fantasy film based on the Pilipino Komiks character of the same name. Directed by Mel Chionglo from a screenplay by Ricardo Lee, it stars Alice Dixson as the titular character and Richard Gomez, alongside Nadia Montenegro, Dennis Roldan, Chat Silayan, Perla Bautista, Lawrence Pineda and Mario Escudero. Produced by Regal Films, the film was released on January 18, 1990. Mel Chionglo
Carmelo Chionglo (July 16, 1946 – September 21, 2019), better known as Mel Chionglo, was a Filipino film director and production designer. He has directed more than 40 films since 1981. From 1966 to 1976, he worked and studied acting and directing at the New York Academy of Theatrical Arts. Returning to Manila, he worked as production designer. His directorial debut was Regal Films' ''Playgirl'' (1981). He was one of the founding members of the Directors’ Guild of the Philippines Inc. He also served as board member on the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board. Career Chionglo began working in the film industry as production designer on such films as Mike de Leon's ''The Rites of May'', Lino Brocka's ''Mother, Sister, Daughter'', and Eddie Romero's ''Aguila''. Flora Gasser (November 28, 1932 – November 19, 2022) was a Filipino veteran film and television actress. Gasser started an acting career in the 70s. She is best known as "''The Yaya of Philippine Television''" for her roles in films such as ''Batang Z'' (1996), ''Joey Boy Munti: 15 Anyos Ka sa Muntinglupa'' (1991) and '' Kumander Bawang: Kalaban ng Mga Aswang'' (1988).
