Bilikere Dwarakanath
Bilikere Srinivasa Rao Dwarakanath (born 4 August 1955) is a molecular biologist and a radiation biologist, working on 2-Deoxy-D-glucose therapy in cancer research. His current research interests are experimental oncology, radiobiology, biological radioprotection and cell signaling in cancer therapy. He is currently the Joint Director of the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), DRDO, Head, Division of Radiation Biosciences, INMAS, and Adjunct Faculty at the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research (ACBR), University of Delhi. He is one of the members of the three-member committee (along with Prof. S.C. Pancholi of the Nuclear Science Centre and Prof. N.C. Goomer of Board of Radiation and Isotope Technology) that was constituted by the Delhi University to probe the incident of radioactivity leakage in a Delhi scrap market, the source of the radioactive material was traced to the chemistry department of the university. Dwarakish
Bungle Shama Rao Dwarakanath (19 August 1942 – 16 April 2024), known by his stage name Dwarakish ( ), was an Indian actor, comedian and filmmaker who predominantly worked in Kannada cinema in addition to few Tamil cinema, Tamil, Telugu cinema, Telugu and Hindi cinema, Hindi films. Starting his career as a supporting actor in ''Veera Sankalpa'' (1964) and co-producer for the film ''Mamatheya Madilu'' in 1966, Dwarakish went on to work over five decades in cinema. He debuted as a director with the film ''Nee Bareda Kadambari'' (1985). Fondly remembered as "Karnatakada Kulla" (), Dwarakish produced over 50 films under his home production called "Dwarakish Chitra". ''Mayor Muthanna'' (1969) was the first film to be produced under his banner. Raghupati Dwarakanath Dixit (born 11 November 1974) is an Indian singer-composer, producer, and film score composer who is the frontman for the Raghu Dixit Project, a multilingual folk music band. Dixit prominently works in Kannada cinema as soundtrack composer. Dixit's music is an amalgamation of Indian ethnic music and styles from different parts of the world. His songs include "Mysore se aayi," "Jag Changa," "Antaragni," "Hey Bhagwan," "Har Saans Mein," "Gudugudiya," and "Khidki." Dixit has produced music for contemporary dance and theatre productions including the Indian contemporary dance group Nritarutya, of which, his wife, Mayuri Upadhya, is the artistic director.
