Dishevelled (Dsh) is a family of proteins involved in canonical and non-canonical Wnt signalling pathways. Dsh (Dvl in mammals) is a cytoplasmic phosphoprotein that acts directly downstream of frizzled receptors. It takes its name from its initial discovery in flies, where a mutation in the dishevelled gene was observed to cause improper orientation of body and wing hairs. There are vertebrate homologs in zebrafish, ''Xenopus'' (''Xdsh''), mice (''Dvl1, -2, -3'') and humans (''DVL-1, -2, -3''). Dsh relays complex Wnt signals in tissues and cells, in normal and abnormal contexts. It is thought to interact with the SPATS1 protein when regulating the Wnt Signalling pathway. Dishevelled plays important roles in both the embryo and the adult, ranging from cellular differentiation and cell polarity to social behavior. An acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) is a hydroacoustic current meter similar to a sonar, used to measure water current velocities over a depth range using the Doppler effect of sound waves scattered back from particles within the water column. The term ADCP is a generic term for all acoustic current profilers, although the abbreviation originates from an instrument series introduced by RD Instruments in the 1980s. The working frequencies range of ADCPs range from 38 kHz to several megahertz. The device used in the air for wind speed profiling using sound is known as '' SODAR'' and works with the same underlying principles. Working principle ADCPs contain piezoelectric transducers to transmit and receive sound signals. The traveling time of sound waves gives an estimate of the distance. Devils Lake Regional Airport is a public use airport located two nautical miles (4 km) west of the central business district of Devils Lake, a city in Ramsey County, North Dakota, United States. It is owned by the Devils Lake Airport Authority and was formerly known as Devils Lake Municipal Airport. A new terminal recently opened for business at the airport.
