Duwana Muwan
''Duwana Muwan (A silent violence)'' ( si, දුවන මුවන්, italic=yes) is a 2014 Sri Lankan Sinhala children's film directed by Indra Weerasekara and produced by Mano Weerasekara. It stars Uddika Premarathna and Pabasara Diddeniya in lead roles with Maurine Charuni and child actor Kaushalya Nirmana. Music co-composed by Somapala Rathnayake and Gayathri Khemadasa. It is the 1244th Sri Lankan film in the Sinhala cinema. Plot Sama is Sinhala language teacher by profession in her village school. She is married to Amara who has done his tertiary education abroad. Their only son is Dhanushka. The school where Sama teaches is very poor in English although she is a Sinhala teacher she starts to teach English in a new way. She uses new methods which are easy to remember for many children. Uddika Premarathna
Uddika Premarathna (born 16 September 1980; උද්දික ප්රේමරත්න) is an actor in Sri Lankan cinema and television. Apart from acting, he is also a singer, TV announcer and a member of parliament. Personal life He is married to Anusha Kumari Pannala and the couple has one son, Angsh Prachien who was born on 24 April 2013. Career Uddika made his maiden cinema appearance with 2011 film Buddhist film ''Mahindagamanaya'' with a minor role. Then in 2013, he came to prominence with main role in the film '' Samanala Sandhawaniya'' with the role "Vadisha Wikramanayaka". The film successfully completed 100 days in theaters. Rathnayake Arachchilage Somapala ( Sinhala: සෝමපාල රත්නායක; 7 November 1947 – 18 July 2017), popularly known as Somapala Rathnayake, was a Sri Lankan actor, composer, lyricist and a renowned musician. Personal life Rathnayake was born on 7 November 1947 in a small village near Kadugannawa as the fourth of the family with 10 siblings. His father was Rathnayake Arachchilage Don James. He was popularly known as Rathnayake Veda Mahaththaya, was an apothecary and sang "noorthi gee," a type of Sinhala folk songs. His mother was Abeykoon Mayadunnelage Sumanawathi. Sri Lankan cinema encompasses the Sri Lankan film industry. It is a fledgling industry that has struggled to find a footing since its inauguration in 1947 with '' Kadawunu Poronduwa'' produced by S. M. Nayagam of Chitra Kala Movietone. Sri Lankan films are usually made in Sinhala and Tamil languages, the dominant languages of the country. Cinema of Sri Lanka is also referred to as Follywood as many famous Sri Lankan actors had surnames starting with an "F." In the first nine years, most films were made in neighboring Southern India and closely followed the conventions of Indian cinema. Studio shooting was the norm, with Indian style sets erected in film studios. Kaushalya Nirmana
Kausalya () is the senior queen-consort of Kosala in the Hindu epic ''Ramayana''. She is the mother of Rama, the titular hero of the epic, and the senior wife of Dasharatha, who ruled Kosala from its capital of Ayodhya. In some later accounts, Shanta is described as her daughter, and the eldest child, of Dasharatha. However, in the ''Bala Kanda'' of the ''Ramayana'', Valmiki writes of Shanta only as the daughter of Romapada, the king of Anga, who was a friend of Dasharatha. At no point is Shanta's mother named. Legend Valmiki does not mention the names of Kausalya's parents, but in the 'Ayodhya Kanda' she is described as ''Kosalendraduhitā'' (daughter of the king of Kosala).
