Adya Van Rees-Dutilh
Adrienne (Adya) van Rees-Dutilh (7 June 1876 – 11 August 1959) was a Dutch textile artist, painter and graphic artist. She was part of the Dada movement in Zürich and was one of the early signatories of the first Berlin Dada manifesto. Biography Rees-Dutilh née Dutilh was born on 7 June 1876 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. She studied drawing with Barbara Elisabeth van Houten in The Hague and went on to study with Ernest Blanc-Garin at his workshop in Brussels. In 1909 she married fellow artist Otto van Rees with whom she had three children. The couple lived the Montmartre area of Paris along with a group of artist known as Bateau-Lavoir. Around this time Rees-Dutilh began focusing on creating abstract tapestries and embroidery. Rees-Dutilh converted to Catholicism in 1914 and religion became a subject of her later art. Catarina Dutilh Novaes
Catarina Dutilh Novaes is a Brazilian and Dutch philosopher whose research concerns the Logic translation, formalization of argumentation and reasoning in the history of logic and the philosophy of logic. She is a professor at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands, and a professorial fellow at the Arché philosophical research centre of the University of St Andrews in Scotland. Education and career Dutilh Novaes was born in 1976 in São Paulo, Brazil, the daughter of two academics. After an undergraduate degree at the University of São Paulo, she went to the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation at the University of Amsterdam for a master's degree in logic. Staying in the Netherlands, she earned a Ph.D. in 2006 at Leiden University, with the dissertation ''Formalizations après la lettre : studies in Medieval logic and semantics'' promoted by Göran Sundholm. Stephen Francis Dutilh Rigaud
Stephen Francis Dutilh Rigaud (London 26 December 1777 – 1861) was an English painter. Life He was the only son of John Francis Rigaud, born at 44 Great Titchfield Street, London. He was not closely related to Stephen Peter Rigaud, but was godson of his father Stephen. Rigaud was brought up by his father as an artist, and in 1792 was admitted a student of the Royal Academy. In 1794 he gained the silver palette from the Society of Arts for a classical group and in 1799 the gold palette for a historical painting. In 1801 he gained the gold medal of the Royal Academy for a historical painting of ''Clytemnestra''. In 1798, while on a visit to the Rev. Robert Nixon at Foot's Cray in Kent, he accompanied Nixon and J. M. W. Turner on a sketching tour.
