Durante Nobili
Durante Nobili (1518 – after 1553) was an Italian people, Italian painter of the Renaissance period. He was born in Caldarola. He was a pupil and collaborator of Lorenzo Lotto from 1550 al 1553. After his apprenticeship, he worked in Ascoli Piceno, Mogliano, Macerata, Matelica, Recanati, and Corridonia. In 1535, he painted ''Madonna and child with Saints Cosmo and Damiano'' for the sacristy of the church of San Martino in Caldarola. He painted an altarpiece of the ''Immaculate Conception'' and a ''Madonna of the Rosary'' for the church of San Gregorio Magno, Mogliano, and a ''Conversation regarding the Immaculate Conception'' for Massa Ferrara, and a ''Crucifixion with Saints Nicola da Tolentino, Antonio da Padova, Crispino'' and with a ''Resurrection'', ''Deposition'', and ''Descent to Purgatory'' below for a church in Marca Montana, near Matelica. Lorenzo Lotto
Lorenzo Lotto (c. 1480 – 1556/57) was an Italian Renaissance painter, draughtsman, and illustrator, traditionally placed in the Venetian school, though much of his career was spent in other north Italian cities. He painted mainly altarpieces, religious subjects and portraits. He was active during the High Renaissance and the first half of the Mannerist period, but his work maintained a generally similar High Renaissance style throughout his career, although his nervous and eccentric posings and distortions represented a transitional stage to the Florentine and Roman Mannerists. Recanati () is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the province of Macerata, in the Italian region of Marche. Recanati was founded around 1150 AD from three pre-existing castles. In 1290 it proclaimed itself an independent republic and, in the 15th century, was famous for its international fair. In March 1798 it was conquered by Napoleon. The elongated historic center extends from one end to the other for over 200 metres and occupies an area of about 35 hectares. Corridonia is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Macerata in the Italian region Marche.It is located about south of Ancona and about southeast of Macerata. San Gregorio Magno is a Roman Catholic church located in the town limits of Mogliano, province of Macerata, in the region of Marche, Italy. History Founded in the 10th century, it originally was a church that was ''extra moenia'', thus outside of the castle walls. Ultimately enclosed within the walls, the church was assigned to the Frati Minori Conventuali in the 13th century through the 15th century. The church has undergone numerous reconstructions: in 1399-1400, the church was rebuilt in Gothic style. But the major change started circa 1714 by Gianfilippo Carnili, when the orientation of the church was inverted from the Romanesque dogma of ''western façade and eastern apse'', in order to accommodate a scenographic entrance from the street.
