Duncan Scott (comics)
Duncan Scott (died 2021) was a comics artist. He had been working freelance since completing a degree in visual communication in 1999. He has drawn for numerous comics and magazines and his work has appeared in The Beano, The National times, Blue Peter magazine, Disney Explorer magazine, BBC's Learning Is Fun magazine, BeanoMAX, The Dandy and Comic Football. His first artwork for The Beano included illustrations for the Rhyme Time sections (Taking over from Chris McGhie) which was a regular feature in The Beano during the first half of the 2000s, which saw readers send in rhymes. From 2001 he drew "Stripz" for The Beano which were usually a small single panel gag which featured in the comic occasionally filling half a page or more often as a gag at the bottom of a full page strip. His first regular full strip, Colin the Vet, appeared in The Beano in 2004. The Beano
''The Beano'' (formerly ''The Beano Comic'', also known as ''Beano'') is a British anthology comic magazine created by Scottish publishing company DC Thomson. Its first issue was published on 30 July 1938, and it became the world's longest-running comic issued weekly in 2018, publishing its 4000th issue in August 2019. The Beano People

Nigel Parkinson
Nigel Parkinson is a British cartoonist who works for D. C. Thomson & Co. Ltd and mainly draws for '' The Beano'' and '' The Dandy''. Biography Parkinson is the official artist for Dennis the Menace in ''The Beano''. His career in comics began in 1980. Over the following twenty years he worked for many British publishers including for example Fleetway drawing Thunderbirds, Stingray, Scouse Mouse and others, BBC Magazines drawing strips based on TV shows like ''Grange Hill'', '' Baywatch'', and as a 'ghost' artist for many titles published by D.C. Thomson. His first work for ''The Dandy'' was in 1982; his first work for ''The Beano'' was in 1996. He started drawing Bea in October 1998. Harry Hill
Matthew Keith Hall (born 1 October 1964), known professionally as Harry Hill, is an English comedian, presenter and writer. He pursued a career in stand-up following years working as a medical doctor, developing an off-beat, energetic performance style that fused elements of surrealism, observational comedy, slapstick, satire and music. When performing, he usually wears browline glasses and a dress shirt with a distinctive oversized collar and cuffs. He won the Perrier Award for Best Newcomer at the 1992 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and began his career in radio and television comedy with the radio series '' Harry Hill's Fruit Corner'' (1993–1997). Colin The Vet
Colin the Vet was a British comic strip series, originally published in the children's magazine '' The Beano'' between 2004 and 2006. The strip was drawn solely by Duncan Scott. As the name implies, the strip was about a veterinarian called Colin, who encounters all sorts of crazy animals. The title was a pun on the phrase 'call in the vet'. It was one of the nominees to be voted into ''The Beano'' by readers in early 2004. Although Joe Jitsu won, it was only a 1% victory over Colin, so both were added to ''The Beano''. Colin also appeared in the Beano Annuals for 2006 and 2007. A running gag in his comic strips included hidden "Celebrity Pets", which are fictional pets owned by famous people. Many of the pets' descriptions are puns on the name of the celebrity. Blue Peter
''Blue Peter'' is a British children's television entertainment programme created by John Hunter Blair. It is the longest-running children's TV show in the world, having been broadcast since October 1958. It was broadcast primarily from BBC Television Centre in London until September 2011, when the programme moved to dock10 studios at MediaCityUK in Salford, Greater Manchester.
