Dumurer Phul is a 1978 Bangladeshi children's film starring Ilyas Kanchan, Bobita and Azad Rahman Shakil in lead roles. The film was directed, produced and written by Subhash Dutta. Subhash Dutta
Subhash Dutta (9 February 1930 – 16 November 2012) was a Bangladeshi filmmaker, theater and film actor. He started his career as a commercial artist. Career At the beginning of his career, Dutta worked as a film poster artist. He drew posters for Mukh O Mukhosh (1956), the first Bengali-language movie to be made in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh). He directed his first movie, Sutorang, in 1964. The movie won the second prize at the Frankfurt Festival in 1965. In 1972, he acted with the theatrical group, ''Aranyak Nattyadal''. Sirajul Islam
Sirajul Islam is Bangladeshi historian, writer, columnist, professor and academician. He is the chairman of the Board of Editors of Banglapedia, the national encyclopedia of Bangladesh, and the editor of the Journal of the Asiatic Society of Bangladesh. He is also famous for his works on agriculture, British era land tenure and social history of Bengal. Career Sirajul Islam served as a professor of history department at the University of Dhaka. He gave up his day job five years before the formal date of retirement, to make time for Banglapedia, in 2000. A corresponding fellow of the Royal Historical Society, Islam was a Senior Commonwealth Staff Fellow at the University of London (1978–79), a Senior Fulbright Scholar at Urbana-Champaign (1990–91), and a British Academy Visiting Professor (2004). Gazi Mazharul Anwar (22 February 1943 – 4 September 2022) was a Bangladeshi film director, producer, lyricist, screenwriter and music director. He earned the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Lyricist a record six times for the films ''Tit for Tat (1992)'', ''Ajante (1996)'', ''Churiwala (2001)'', ''Lal Dariya (2002)'', '' Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti (2003)'' and ''Meyeti Ekhon Kothay Jabe (2016)''. Ashraf Siddiqui (1 March 1927 – 19 March 2020) was a Bangladeshi poet, researcher, folklorist, and essayist. He was awarded Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1964 and Ekushey Padak in 1988 by the Government of Bangladesh. Early life and education Siddiqui was born in Nagbari village of Tangail.
