Duice
Duice was an American Miami bass duo consisting of Los Angeles native Ira 'L.A. Sno' Brown and Barbados native Anthony 'Creo-D' Darlington. The two were enlisted in the military at Fort Gordon, Georgia when they were discovered. Their lone hit single, "Dazzey Duks", was an instant smash in 1993, selling over two million copies and peaking at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart. The single was certified 2× platinum on January 27, 1994, by the RIAA. Their album, ''Dazzey Duks (album), Dazzey Duks'', was certified gold on the same date. The song was inspired by the short shorts worn by the character Daisy Duke on the CBS TV series ''The Dukes of Hazzard''. L.A. ''Dazzey Duks'' is the debut studio album by American bass music duo Duice. It was released on December 22, 1992, through TMR/Bellmark Records. Production was handled by Tony Mercedes. The album peaked at number 84 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200 and number 26 on the Top R&B Albums. It was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America on January 27, 1994, for selling 500,000 copies in the United States. Bellmark Records
Bellmark Records was a small American independent record label, based in Los Angeles, California. It was formed in 1989 by Al Bell, who was one of the driving forces behind Stax Records, having been its chairman and CEO, and who had also been president of Motown Records. The company's name was derived from the phrase "Al Bell Marketing". Initially, Bellmark's records were distributed by CEMA, but the company switched to independent distribution in 1991. The Bellmark Records organization included the Bellmark Records label itself, which was intended to be used for gospel and spiritual music, as well as the Life Records imprint, which was intended for other genres of African-American music; however, the overall manufacturing and marketing arm of the corporation went by the "Bellmark" name. Daisy Duke
Daisy Duke is a fictional character, played by Catherine Bach, from the American television series ''The Dukes of Hazzard''. She is the cousin of Bo and Luke, the third main protagonists of the show, and the three live on a farm on the outskirts of Hazzard County with their Uncle Jesse. Although never mentioned in the series itself, some press material for the show suggests that Daisy's parents, along with Bo and Luke's, were killed in a car accident; in the 1997 reunion movie, Daisy says her mother died when she was a baby. The series never explained how they all came to live with Uncle Jesse.
