Dudebro II
''Dudebro — My Shit Is Fucked Up So I Got to Shoot/Slice You II: It's Straight-Up Dawg Time'', commonly shortened as ''Dudebro II'', was an unreleased 2D sidescrolling shooting/slicing action game that is under development by members of the NeoGAF community. Release of the game has been pushed back from the originally intended 2010 to 2011, but after development was rebooted no further release dates were ever announced by the developers. After years of troubled development, the developers announced in 2017 the game would no longer have any references to NeoGAF, directly in response to a MeToo controversy surrounding the website, and that all the work put into the project would be reused under a new developer name. However, no further updates about those plans were ever issued. Some of the level design was salvaged and released in 2015 as 2 user-made levels in Super Mario Maker, making these the only playable content ever released from this project. It was intended to parody mod ...

Quick Time Event
In video games, a quick time event (QTE) is a method of context-sensitive gameplay in which the player performs actions on the control device shortly after the appearance of an on-screen instruction/prompt. It allows for limited control of the game character during cut scenes or cinematic sequences in the game. Performing the wrong prompt, mistiming the action, or not performing any action at all results in the character's failure at their task, resulting in a death/failure animation and often an immediate game over or the loss of a life, with some games providing a lesser but significant penalty of sorts instead. The term "quick time event" is attributed to Yu Suzuki, director of the game ''Shenmue'' which used the QTE feature (then called "quick timer events") to a great degree. They allow for the game designer to create sequences of actions that cannot be expressed through the game's standard control scheme, or to constrain the player into taking only one specific action at a ...

Parody Video Games
A parody is a creative work designed to imitate, comment on, and/or mock its subject by means of satirical or ironic imitation. Often its subject is an original work or some aspect of it (theme/content, author, style, etc), but a parody can also be about a real-life person (e.g. a politician), event, or movement (e.g. the French Revolution or 1960s counterculture). Literary scholar Professor Simon Dentith defines parody as "any cultural practice which provides a relatively polemical allusive imitation of another cultural production or practice". The literary theorist Linda Hutcheon said "parody ... is imitation, not always at the expense of the parodied text." Parody may be found in art or culture, including literature, music, theater, television and film, animation, and gaming. The writer and critic John Gross observes in his ''Oxford Book of Parodies'', that parody seems to flourish on territory somewhere between pastiche ("a composition in another artist's manner, without sat ...
