Ducati SportClassic
The Ducati SportClassics are a range of retro styled motorcycles introduced by Ducati at the 2003 Tokyo Motor Show, and put on sale in 2005 for the 2006 model year. The Ducati PaulSmart 1000 LE, Paul Smart version was made for the 2006 model year only, while the Sport1000 ran from 2006 through the 2009 model years, and the GT1000 ran from the 2007 through 2010 model years. They were the product of Ducati's design chief Pierre Terblanche, who said the series started with the ''Evoluzione'' Ducati MH900e, MH900e replica of Mike Hailwood's victorious 1978 Isle of Man TT bike. Pillion
A pillion is a secondary pad, cushion, or seat behind the main seat or saddle on a motorcycle or moped. A passenger in this seat is said to "ride pillion". The word is derived from the Scottish Gaelic for "little rug", ''pillean'', from the Latin ''pellis'', "animal skin". One or more pelts often were used as a secondary seat on horseback; the usage has carried over to motorcycles. Sintering or frittage is the process of compacting and forming a solid mass of material by pressure or heat without melting it to the point of liquefaction. Sintering happens as part of a manufacturing process used with metals, ceramics, plastics, and other materials. The atoms/molecules in the sintered material diffuse across the boundaries of the particles, fusing the particles together and creating a solid piece. Paul Smart (23 April 1943 – 27 October 2021) was an English short circuit motorcycle road racer who later entered Grands Prix.
