Alexander Dubrovin
Alexander Ivanovich Dubrovin (; April 7, 1855, Kamyshlov – unknown) was a far-right politician in the Russian Empire, a leader of the Union of the Russian People (URP). Biography According to refined data, Dubrovin was born on April 7, 1855 in Kamyshlov, Perm Governorate (now Sverdlovsk Oblast) and was baptized according to the Russian Orthodox rite in the local Cathedral of the Intercession of Our Lady. However, before the publication of this information by Andrey Ivanov in 2024, it was believed that he was born in Kungur. His father was collegiate secretary Ivan Stefanovich Dubrovin, and his mother was Glafira Ivanovna Dubrovina. Orphaned at an early age, having lost both his mother and father. Boris Dubrovin (poet)
Boris Savvovich Dubrovin (real surname Gall, patronymic in some sources Savvich; ; 24 May 1926 – 25 June 2020) was a Soviet and Russian poet, songwriter and author. He was a veteran of the Great Patriotic War. Biography Dubrovin was born in Moscow in 1926. His father was Savva Semenovich Gall, from Uman, Kiev Governorate, and his mother was Esfir Abelevna Khaza, from Pinsk, Minsk Governorate. His father was a typographic worker in his youth, and in the Russian Civil War he was a commissar in the First Cavalry Army. His grandfather was a church watchman. His father had a younger sister. In 1936, when Dubrovin was 9 years old, his father was arrested as an enemy of the people, and after a while his mother was arrested for not reporting on the enemy of the people. His father died in prison, after which he was rehabilitated. His mother, a doctor, served 6 years imprisonment, after which she was disabled. She was also rehabilitated. Dubrovin Farm
Dubrovin Farm () was one of the first farms in the Hulah Valley. It was established by Andrey Dubrovin (1863–1967) who moved to Ottoman Palestine with his family in 1903. History Dubrovin left Astrakhan and settled in the north of the country near Yesod HaMa'ala. Dubrovin and his family were Subbotniks, Russian Christians who kept seventh-day Sabbath. After their conversion to Judaism, they took Hebrew names. Andrey became "Yoav", and his wife became "Rachel". The family farm, on a plot of 650 dunams, was located near a malaria-ridden swamp. Two of Dubrovin's sons and two grandchildren died of the illness. Dubrovin eventually moved most of his family to Rosh Pinna, leaving behind his eldest son, Yitzhak, to manage the buildings, fruit orchards, and gardens. Dubrovin was granted many awards in agriculture. He died at the age of 104. Boris Anatolievich Dubrovin (; 6 April 1950 – 19 March 2019) was a Russian mathematician, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (1984). After his death, the Dubrovin Medal was created in his memory, and is awarded to promising researchers who make outstanding contributions to the fields of mathematical physics and geometry. Biography He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University (1972). In 1988–1993, he was Professor of the Department of Higher Geometry and Topology. Between 1990 and his death, he was Professor at Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati (SISSA) in Trieste, Italy.
