Dublin University Fencing Club (DUFC) is the fencing club of Trinity College Dublin, located in Dublin, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The club caters for Foil (fencing), foil, épée and Sabre (fencing), sabre. Its members are students, alumni and staff from Trinity College with a small amount of visiting fencers from other clubs. The Colours Match () is an annual rugby union fixture between Trinity College Dublin (Dublin University Football Club) and University College Dublin ( University College Dublin R.F.C.) played since 1952. Shirley Armstrong-Duffy (14 August 1930 – 21 December 2018) was an Irish fencer. She competed in the women's individual foil event at the 1960 Summer Olympics for the Republic of Ireland. Biography Armstrong married Irish fencer, Patrick Joseph Duffy who founded The Irish Academy of Arms (Academie d'Armes d'Irlande) in 1952 as well as the highly successful club - Salle Duffy. They helped to build it into a club which dominated fencing in Ireland and became one of the premier clubs in the country. In 1958, they were both heavily involved in the re-establishment of the International Academy of Fencing Masters.
