''Drunk History Australia'' is an Australian educational comedy television series based on the American series of the same name, which is in-turn based on the web series from Funny or Die. Description In each episode, an inebriated celebrity struggles to recount a historical event, while actors reconstruct and enact the narrator's anecdotes while lip syncing the dialogue. In addition to celebrity guest stars, the show's characters are played by regulars such as David Collins, Yvie Jones, Cameron Knight, Adam Dunn, Sara West, Greta Lee Jackson, Aaron Chen, Paul Ayre, Lana Kington, Harry Keep, Seaton Kay-Smith, Bruce Guo, Emma Thompson and Hamish Adams-Cairns. Ned Kelly
Edward Kelly (December 185411 November 1880) was an Australian bushranger, outlaw, gang leader, bank robber and convicted police-murderer. One of the last bushrangers, he is known for wearing armour of the Kelly gang, a suit of bulletproof armour during his final shootout with the police. Kelly was born and raised in rural Colony of Victoria, Victoria, the third of eight children to Irish parents. The Burke and Wills expedition (originally called the Victorian Exploring Expedition) was an exploration expedition organised by the Royal Society of Victoria (RSV) in Australia in 1860–61. The exploration party initially consisted of nineteen men led by Robert O'Hara Burke, with William John Wills being a deputy commander. Its objective was the crossing of Australia from Melbourne in the south to the Gulf of Carpentaria in the north, a distance of around 3,250 kilometres (approximately 2,000 miles). At that time most of the inland of Australia had not been explored by non-Indigenous Australians, Indigenous people and was largely unknown to European settlers. Nellie Melba
Dame Nellie Melba (born Helen Porter Mitchell; 19 May 186123 February 1931) was an Australian operatic lyric coloratura soprano. Dan Kelly (bushranger)
Daniel Kelly (1 June 1861 – 28 June 1880) was an Australian bushranger and outlaw. The son of an Irish convict, he was the younger brother of the bushranger Ned Kelly. In 1878, Dan and Ned killed three policemen at Stringybark Creek in northeast Victoria, near the present-day town of Tolmie, Victoria. With two friends, Joe Byrne and Steve Hart, the brothers formed the Kelly Gang, which robbed banks, took over whole towns, and terrorized the people of Victoria and New South Wales for two years. The Victorian police searched for them, locked up their friends and families, but could not find them. Dan Kelly died during the infamous siege of Glenrowan in June 1880.
