Dronninglund Castle
Dronninglund Castle (Danish: Dronninglund Slot) is a former royal residence located in the town of Dronninglund in the northern part of the Jutland Peninsula, Denmark. Hundslund Priory
Hundslund Priory was a prominent Benedictine religious house in medieval Denmark. It was later transformed into the royal residence Dronninglund Castle. It is located at Dronninglund, north of Aalborg, Denmark. The priory was established about 1100 on a royal farm given by King Erik II Emune. The priory was built north of Aalborg for Benedictine nuns. It was dedicated to St. Mary and St. Clement (both names were used in documents). History The original church was built in Romanesque style with rounded arches and a flat timber ceiling. The old church was replaced in 1350 and then renovated several times into the remarkable structure which can still be seen today in its late Gothic form. The priory had three ranges attached to the church, so that it formed an enclosure to separate the nuns from the rest of the community. Brønderslev is a municipality ( Danish, '' kommune'') in North Jutland Region in Denmark. It covers an area of 630 km² and has a total population of 36,177 (2021). The municipal council is located in the town of Brønderslev. The municipality was created as the result of ''2007 Kommunalreformen'', and consists of the former municipalities of Brønderslev and Dronninglund. Stine Jørgensen
Stine Østergaard Jørgensen (born 3 September 1990) is a Danish handball player for København Håndbold. She was the team captain of the national team and participated at the 2011 World Women's Handball Championship in Brazil. In May 2020, she announced her retirement from the Danish national team. Club career She started playing handball at the age of 5 years, for her hometown Dronninglund. When she was 16 years old, she moved to the Danish top club Aalborg DH, where she also represented the youth team. In Aalborg DH, she received silver in the Danish Women's Handball League in 2009. The Museums in Brønderslev Municipality (Danish: Museerne i Brønderslev Kommune) is the umbrella organization for three State-recognized museums in the Municipality of Brønderslev in Denmark. The three museums are: Try Museum Try Museum is located at Dronninglund and was founded in 1929 and was originally based on the private collections of Jørgen Nørgård, who left it when he died in 1927. The principal of Try højskole Frode Fogt and a former student named P. Christensen was the main force behind the creation of the museum, and P. Christensen became the first manager. A half-timbered house inspired by a former clock-and-watchmakers house from Ørsø was erected and used for displaying the collections of antiquities, domestic utensils, various weapons, etc.. Brønderslev is a city in Denmark with a population of 12,549 (1 January 2022). The city is the largest urban area in Brønderslev Municipality and is the municipal seat. It is the fourth largest city of Vendsyssel within the North Jutland Region. History The name of the town is derived from a local Norsemen chief, Brunder. Brønderslev was formerly known as ''Vester Brønderslev'', in contrast to the neighboring ''Øster Brønderslev''. As of 2020, Øster Brønderslev has a population of just 943. Vester Brønderslev was once a small farming village. In 1682, it consisted of just 27 farms and 47 houses. The town was not initially located on any major thoroughfares and saw very little traffic. Thus, the town grew comparatively gradually. By the 1850s, however, an inn and an established market had begun to draw more traders to settle on the road near the city.
