''Drive Home'' is an EP released by British musician Steven Wilson, featuring music videos, previously unreleased tracks, and live renditions of several songs recorded at Hugenottenhalle, Neu-Isenburg (although erroneously credited to being in Frankfurt) on 23 March 2013. The EP, which was released on 21 October 2013, was available in two versions: DVD/ CD and Blu-ray/CD. Reception Thom Jurek of AllMusic praised the title track's "gorgeous meld of Pink Floyd's nocturnal atmospherics, the Moody Blues' melodic majesty, sprawling guitar solos, and Alan Parsons' crystalline production", while also describing the live tracks as "killer readings" which the band members "take ... far outside their studio boundaries." Although the EP would seem to be "for hardcore Wilson fans only, the video disc is alone worth the price of admission", according to Jurek. Steven Wilson
Steven John Wilson (born 3 November 1967) is an English musician. He is the founder, guitarist, lead vocalist, and songwriter of the rock band Porcupine Tree, as well as being a member of several other bands, including Blackfield, Storm Corrosion and No-Man. He is also a solo artist, having released eight solo albums since his solo debut Insurgentes (album), ''Insurgentes'' in 2008. In a career spanning more than 30 years, Wilson has made music prolifically and earned critical acclaim. His honours include six nominations for Grammy Award for Best Surround Sound Album, Grammy Awards: twice with Porcupine Tree, once with his collaborative band Storm Corrosion and three times as a solo artist. The London Session Orchestra
The London Session Orchestra was a film, TV, and pop orchestra based in London. It was founded in 1993 and led by Gavyn Wright and is known for its work on movies such as ''Run Lola Run'' (1998) ''V for Vendetta'' (2005), and '' Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation'' (2015), as well as famous pop songs like "Angels" by Robbie Williams. Dave Stewart (musician, Born 1950)
David Lloyd Stewart (born 30 December 1950) is an English musician known for his work with the progressive rock bands Uriel, Egg, Khan, Hatfield and the North, National Health, and Bruford. Stewart is the author of two books on music theory and wrote a music column for ''Keyboard'' ''Magazine'' (USA) for thirteen years. He has also composed music for TV, film and radio, much of it for Victor Lewis-Smith's production company. He has worked with singer Barbara Gaskin since 1981. Theo Travis (born 7 July 1964) is a British saxophonist, flautist and composer. He is a member of Soft Machine which he joined in 2006 while the group was still using the "Legacy" suffix and was a member of Gong from 1999 to 2010. Biography Travis received his degree in music from the University of Manchester specialising in the works of Shostakovich. He has released eleven solo albums, largely as a band leader in the jazz genre, creating and arranging the majority of the material. Marco Minnemann (born 24 December 1970) is a German multi-instrumentalist and composer who primarily plays drums. Career Minnemann has released over a dozen solo albums as drummer, multi-instrumentalist, and vocalist, and performed on over 100 studio albums with dozens of artists and groups. Adam Holzman (keyboardist)
Adam Holzman (born February 15, 1958) is an American keyboardist. He is the son of Elektra Records' founder Jac Holzman. Biography In the early 1980s, Holzman founded the Fents with Ted Hall. In 1985, he was hired by Miles Davis to play keyboards on the trumpeter's '' Tutu'' album, and stayed with him for four years, eventually becoming his musical director. In the early 1990s, he founded the band Mona Lisa Overdrive, which changed its name to Brave New World due to copyright issues. Guthrie Govan (; born 27 December 1971) is a British guitarist and guitar teacher, known for his work with the bands the Aristocrats, Asia, GPS, the Young Punx and the Fellowship, as well as his solo project Erotic Cakes. More recently, he has collaborated with Steven Wilson and Hans Zimmer. Nicholas Beggs (born 15 December 1961Larkin, Colin (1997) ''The Virgin Encyclopedia of Eighties Music'', Virgin Books, , p. 270-271) is an English musician, noted for playing the bass guitar and the Chapman Stick; he is a member of the Mute Gods and Kajagoogoo, formerly also a part of Iona (band), Iona and Ellis, Beggs & Howard and plays in the band of Steven Wilson. The Moody Blues
The Moody Blues were an English rock band formed in Birmingham in May 1964. The band initially consisted of Graeme Edge (drums), Denny Laine (guitar/vocals), Mike Pinder (keyboards/vocals), Ray Thomas (multi-instrumentalist/vocals) and Clint Warwick (bass/vocals).
