Drezna (Tver Oblast)
Drezna () is a town in Orekhovo-Zuyevsky District of Moscow Oblast, Russia, located on the river Drezna (Klyazma's tributary) east of Moscow. Population: History It was founded by Ivan Zimin in 1897 as a mill town. It was named after the Drezna River. The mill utilised machinery supplied by Howard & Bullough for spinning and by Platt Brothers for weaving. Drezna was granted town status in 1940.СССР. The classification system of inhabited localities in Russia and some other post-Soviet states has certain peculiarities compared with those in other countries. Classes During the Soviet time, each of the republics of the Soviet Union, including the Russian SFSR, had its own legislative documents dealing with classification of inhabited localities. After the Dissolution of the Soviet Union, the task of developing and maintaining such classification in Russia was delegated to the federal subjects.Articles 71 and 72 of the Constitution of Russia do not name issues of the administrative and territorial structure among the tasks handled on the federal level or jointly with the governments of the federal subjects. Ivan Nikitich Zimin (; 1818-1887) was a Russian industrialist who developed Drezna as a mill town.
