Drew Desjarlais
Drew Desjarlais (born April 24, 1997) is a Canadian professional football guard for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Windsor. He has also been a member of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL, as well as the New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). University career Desjarlais played CIS football for the Windsor Lancers from 2015 to 2018. Professional career Winnipeg Blue Bombers Desjarlais was drafted fourth overall in the first round of the 2019 CFL Draft by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and signed with the team on May 11, 2019, despite receiving interest from the NFL. He made the team's active roster following training camp and played in his first professional game on June 15, 2019, against the BC Lions. In American football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is an Lineman (gridiron football), offensive line player who lines up between the center (American football), center and the offensive tackle, tackles. Like other offensive line positions, guards are used primarily for Blocking (American football), blocking. Right guards (RG) is the term for the guards on the right of the offensive line, while left guards (LG) are on the left side. Windsor Lancers
The Windsor Lancers are the varsity athletic teams that represent the University of Windsor in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The school's varsity program supports 9 different sports. Their mascot is a lancer and the team's colours are blue and gold. The varsity teams compete in the Ontario University Athletics provincial conference and the national U Sports organization. 2020 CFL Season
The 2020 CFL season would have been the 67th season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it would have been the 63rd season of the Canadian Football League. It was originally scheduled to begin on June 11; on April 7, the start of the season was delayed to begin no sooner than July due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada.
