Dream Build Play
Dream Build Play (also known as Dream-Build-Play, Dream.Build.Play, and DreamBuildPlay) is an annual $75,000 Microsoft video game contest used to promote Microsoft XNA Game Studio and eventually Xbox LIVE Indie Games. It was announced in 2006, started in 2007, and ran until 2012. It was restarted in 2017 as the Dream.Build.Play 2017 Challenge. Notable winners include '' Dust: An Elysian Tail'' and '' The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai''. Concept Dream-Build-Play, as it was first called, is a game development contest designed to promote and encourage experienced game developers and enthusiasts to create innovative and fun-to-play indie games for Windows and Xbox 360 using Microsoft XNA Game Studio. ''Weapon of Choice'' is a run and gun game developed by independent studio Mommy's Best Games and released on November 19, 2008. Gameplay In the game, the player can select between seven "operatives", which are the characters controlled throughout the playthrough. The skills vary depending on the character chosen to play. If the character dies, another operative can be selected with a different set of skills. When all characters had died, the game finishes. The player is also able to rescue operatives lost in the field, unlocking them for future playthroughs of the game or, alternatively, rescue a fallen agent who's just been killed. The Gravitron is an amusement ride, most commonly found as a portable ride at fairs and carnivals. The Gravitron first appeared at Morey's Piers in 1983 and quickly became a fixture at amusement parks in many countries. It is a modification of an earlier ride called the Rotor. The ride was originally designed and manufactured by Wisdom Industries. Names The Gravitron is known by a variety of names.
