Below is a list of selected neighbourhoods and suburbs of Montenegrin capital of Podgorica. Note that there are many different interpretations on boundaries and existence of certain neighbourhoods, as neighbourhood is not an administrative category, but unofficial geographical notion. Centar Historically known as Nova Varoš ("New Town"), this neighbourhood roughly corresponds to the traditional city centre of Podgorica. It is bounded by ''Ivana Crnojevića Boulevard'' to the north, ''Svetog Petra Cetinjskog Boulevard'' to the south, ''Stanka Dragojevića Boulevard'' to the west, and Ribnica River to the east. It is the administrative, as well as socio-cultural heart of the city. The coat of arms of Podgorica is an official insignia of Podgorica, capital of Montenegro. It is a new coat of arms, adopted as a symbol of the city in 2006. It replaced the old coat of arms, which was thought outdated aesthetically. The author is Srđan Marlović. Description of the coat of arms *The silver shield represents water. Podgorica ( cnr-Cyrl, Подгорица; ) is the Capital city, capital and List of cities and towns in Montenegro, largest city of Montenegro. The city is just north of Lake Skadar and close to coastal destinations on the Adriatic Sea. The Belgrade–Bar railway ( sr-Cyrl-Latn, Пруга Београд–Бар, Pruga Beograd–Bar) is a long electrified main line connecting the Serbian capital of Belgrade with the town of Bar, Montenegro, Bar, a Port of Bar, major seaport in Montenegro. Completed in 1976, which connects Belgrade with the Mediterranean port of Bar, Montenegro, Bar. It was built by the Yugoslav Railways, Yugoslav State Railways (JŽ) in 25 years of construction and is now operated by its successor companies Serbian Railways, Železnice Srbije (ŽS), Railways of Republika Srpska, Željeznice Republike Srpske (ŽRS) and Željeznička Infrastruktura Crne Gore (ŽICG).
