Draw Limit
Draw limit is a restriction on number of games drawn in a season. It was an administrative measure in league football competitions that was implemented in the Soviet Union by the Football Federation of the Soviet Union in 1978-1988. The reason for such measure was to fight match fixing as well as increase the entertainment and intensity of the national championship. The limit provided that over certain set number of allowed draws no points were awarded for any additional drawn games. For example, if the Federation set the draw limit at 10 for a given championship, points were awarded to teams only for the first 10 drawn games and none for any additional. Origin What led to such phenomena was a scientific approach towards football, search for variety of methods that would allow to win strictly prudently without risk. Football Federation Of The Soviet Union
The Football Federation of the USSR (russian: Федерация футбола СССР) was a governing body of football in the Soviet Union and since 1972 the main governing body of football in the country. The Federation was created late in 1934 by the decision of the ''Supreme Council of Physical Culture'' of the USSR (russian: Высший Совет Физической Культуры, VSFK) as its sports section governing specifically football. It was the only organization that obtained recognition of FIFA in 1946. UEFA Coefficients
In European football, the UEFA coefficients are statistics based in weighted arithmetic means used for ranking and seeding teams in club and international competitions. Introduced in 1979 for men's football tournaments, and after applied in women's football and futsal, the coefficients are calculated by UEFA, who administer football within Europe, as well as Armenia, Israel and the Asian parts of some transcontinental countries. The confederation publishes three types of rankings: one analysing a single season, one analysing a five-year span and another analysing a ten-year span. Round-robin Tournament

Aksel Tatevosovich Vartanyan (russian: Аксель Татевосович Вартанян; born January 8, 1938) is a Soviet and Russian journalist, sports historian and native of Tbilisi. Vartanyan graduated from the Historical-Philological Department of Tbilisi Pedagogical Institute. Since 1962 he has worked full-time as a school teacher.
