The group was originally signed to Geffen Records and composed of members Nichole Cordova, Tiffanie Anderson, Chrystina Sayers and Natalie Mejia. Their self-titled debut album was released in Canada in August 2008 and reached number two on the Canadian Albums Chart. After Anderson left the group in June 2009, Girlicious signed with Universal Music Canada and released their second studio album, '' Rebuilt'', in November 2010. ''Girlicious'' is the debut studio album by American girl group Girlicious, released on August 12, 2008 in Canada, through Geffen Records. It infuses hip hop and R&B with pop music. Its production began in 2007, after the filming of '' Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious''. Although it did not chart in the United States, ''Girlicious'' debuted at number two on the Canadian Albums Chart and was later certified platinum in the country. A deluxe edition for the album was released on December 9, 2008, including two new songs and three remixes of the singles. Release and reception Released as a CD and music download in Canada on August 12, 2008, the album generated positive reviews from critics upon its release. The 2009 MuchMusic Video Awards were held in Toronto, Ontario at MuchMusic's headquarters on June 21, 2009. Along with the MuchMusic VJ's, on April 16, 2009, it was confirmed on the MuchMusic website that the Jonas Brothers would co-host the show.
