Drake Powell
Drake Edward Powell (born September 8, 2005) is an American professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Early life and high school Powell grew up in Pittsboro, North Carolina and attended Northwood High School. He averaged 18.6 points, seven rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game as a junior. He put up averages of 17.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game along with 2.2 steals and 1.2 blocks during his senior year. Powell was selected to play in the 2024 McDonald's All-American Boys Game during his senior year. Recruiting Powell was considered a five-star recruit by most major recruiting services and was one of the top players in the 2024 class. The McDonald's All-American Game is an American all-star basketball game played each year for boys' and girls' high school basketball graduates. Consisting of the top players, each team plays a single exhibition game after the conclusion of the high-school basketball season, in an East vs. West format.
