Dragon Quest IV
''Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen'', titled ''Dragon Warrior IV'' when initially localized to North America, is a 1990 role-playing video game, the fourth installment of the ''Dragon Quest'' video game series developed by Chunsoft and published by Enix, and the first of the Zenithian Trilogy. It was originally released for the Nintendo Entertainment System, Famicom on 11 February 1990 in Japan. A North American NES version followed in October 1992, and would be the last ''Dragon Quest'' game localized and published by Enix's Enix#North America, Enix America Corporation subsidiary prior to its closure in November 1995, as well as the last ''Dragon Quest'' game to be localized into English prior to the localization of ''Dragon Warrior Monsters'' in December 1999. PAL Regions
Phase Alternating Line (PAL) is a color encoding system for analog television. It was one of three major analogue colour television standards, the others being NTSC and SECAM. In most countries it was broadcast at 625 lines, 50 fields (25 frames) per second, and associated with CCIR analogue broadcast television systems CCIR System B, B, CCIR System D, D, CCIR System G, G, CCIR System H, H, CCIR System I, I or CCIR System K, K. The articles on analog broadcast television systems further describe frame rates, image resolution, and audio modulation. PAL video is composite video because Luma (video), luminance (luma, monochrome image) and chrominance (chroma, colour applied to the monochrome image) are transmitted together as one signal.
