William Worthington (actor)
William Worthington (April 8, 1872 in Troy, New York, Troy, New York – April 9, 1941 in Beverly Hills, California) was an American silent film actor and director. Career Worthington became interested in the performing arts when he began his career as an opera singer and stage actor. He entered films with a lead role in 1913, and one of his more notable films was Damon and Pythias in 1914. From 1917 to 1925, William concentrated on directing films and was the head of a film production firm called Multicolor, which was bought by Cinecolor in 1932. He was active in films up until his death in 1941. Stanhope Wheatcroft
Stanhope Nelson Wheatcroft (May 11, 1888 – February 13, 1966) was an American actor of the stage and screen who was primarily active during Hollywood's silent era. Biography Stanhope was born in New York City in 1888 to Nelson Wheatcroft and Adeline Stanhope. Both of his parents were renowned actors and drama teachers born in Europe. Stanhope attended Columbia University in New York City, and reportedly decided to embark upon a career as an actor after his father's death. Broadway plays in which Wheatcroft appeared included ''Marrying Money'' (1914), ''A Gentleman from Mississippi'' (1908), ''The Warrens of Virginia'' (1907), ''The Movers'' (1907), ''Zira'' (1905), and ''Nancy Stair'' (1905). After enjoying popularity during the silent era, his career waned in the 1930s, when his screen credits were primarily for his performances in bit parts. Oliver Harlan Cross (July 13, 1868 – April 24, 1960) was a U.S. Representative from Texas. Born in Eutaw, Alabama, Cross attended the public schools and was graduated from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa in 1891. He was a teacher in the public schools at Union Springs, Alabama, in 1891 and 1892. He studied law. He was admitted to the bar in 1893 and commenced practice in Deming, New Mexico. He moved to McGregor, Texas, in 1894 and continued the practice of law. He served as city attorney of McGregor in 1895 and 1896. He moved to Waco, Texas, in 1896 and continued the practice of law. He served as assistant attorney of McLennan County, Texas 1898-1902. He served as member of the State house of representatives in 1900. He served as district attorney of McLennan County 1902-1906.
