Dr. Heston Carter
Dr. Heston Carter is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera ''Doctors'', portrayed by Owen Brenman. He made his first appearance in 2008, and he continued to appear until 2018, when Brenman left ''Doctors'', with Heston being killed in a car accident. Development Casting and characterisation Brenman was initially unsure about auditioning for ''Doctors'' since he had just appeared in high-profile roles. In spite of his inhibitions, he decided to put effort into his audition, under the thought process that he could decline the role if it was offered. However, he accepted the role and signed a contract to appear for a year. Brenman accredited feeling ambivalent about the role to easing his nerves, which he felt helped him in the audition. Owen Brenman
Owen Brenman (born 17 December 1956) is an English actor, known for his roles as Nick Swainey in the BBC sitcom ''One Foot in the Grave'' and Heston Carter in the BBC drama series ''Doctors''. Early and personal life Brenman was educated at University College School, an independent day school for boys in Hampstead in north west London, followed by the University of Birmingham, where he obtained a BA (Hons) degree in Drama, and the Webber Douglas School of Singing and Dramatic Art, now known as the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. Brenman was married to Jackie Brenman until 2020, when she died of cancer. They had two sons together. Seeta Indrani (born 20 April 1963) is a British dancer and actress from London. Biography Performance After graduation as a dancer from the London Contemporary Dance School, Indrani took the role of Cassandra in the original 1981 West End production of ''Cats'' by Andrew Lloyd Webber. 2018 British Soap Awards
The 2018 British Soap Awards honoured the best in British soap operas throughout 2017 and 2018. The ceremony was held on 2 June 2018 at the Hackney Empire theatre in Hackney, London, and was broadcast live for the first time on ITV and STV. The publicly voted categories were announced on 10 April 2018, with the vote opening that same day. This included a longlist for the Best Actress and Actor awards.
