Doctor Doom is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in ''Fantastic Four (comic book), The Fantastic Four'' #5 in April 1962, and has since endured as the archenemy of the superhero team the Fantastic Four. Victor von Doom is the monarch of the fictional European country of Latveria who uses his mastery of both science and Magic (supernatural), sorcery in pursuit of his goals to bring order to humanity through world domination, and prove his intellectual superiority over Mister Fantastic–his old college rival and the leader of the Fantastic Four. Doom blames Mister Fantastic for his disfigurement, and wears a Magic in fiction, magically forged suit of armor with a metal mask and green hooded cloak to conceal his facial scars. Alex Ross
Nelson Alexander Ross (born January 22, 1970) is an American comic book creator, comic book writer and artist known primarily for his painted interiors, covers, and design work. He first became known with the 1994 miniseries ''Marvels'', on which he collaborated with writer Kurt Busiek for Marvel Comics. He has since done a variety of projects for both Marvel and DC Comics, such as the 1996 miniseries ''Kingdom Come (comics), Kingdom Come'', which he also cowrote. Since then he has done covers and character designs for Busiek's series ''Astro City'', and various projects for Dynamite Entertainment. His feature film work includes concept and narrative art for ''Spider-Man (2002 film), Spider-Man'' (2002) and ''Spider-Man 2'' (2004), and DVD packaging art for the M.
