Dr. Dog (album)
''Dr. Dog'' is the eleventh album by American psychedelic rock band Dr. Dog. It was released on July 19, 2024, on the We Buy Gold label. Production When Dr. Dog announced their final tour back in 2021, they made it clear that the band was not breaking up. However, fans speculated otherwise due to the band's two-decade-long presence on the road, consistently offering one of the best live shows in indie rock. The decision to stop touring was influenced by changes in their lives and a desire to avoid becoming an uninspired, middle-aged band. Despite the band being tighter than ever and still attracting new fans, they felt it was the right time to explore their lives outside of the band. This period of exploration eventually led to the creation of a new record, a self-titled album released on July 19, 2024. ''Critical Equation'' is the tenth album by American psychedelic rock band Dr. Dog. It was released on April 27, 2018 on the Thirty Tigers label. The album was met with generally favorable reviews, reaching 68 on Metacritic. Production After band member Dimitry Manos left the band for other projects and frustrations about how their previous label had handled the release of their previous two albums '' The Psychedelic Swamp'' and '' Abandoned Mansion,'' the band decided to change their recording process, recording exclusively on 16-track analog tape and worked with a new producer, Gus Seyffert, in a new studio, Sargent Recorders, in California in late 2017. Big Thief
Big Thief is an American indie folk band formed in Brooklyn, New York, in 2015. The lineup comprises vocalist-guitarist Adrianne Lenker, guitarist Buck Meek and drummer James Krivchenia. Founding bassist Max Oleartchik left the band in 2024. Big Thief's debut album, ''Masterpiece'', was released on Saddle Creek Records in 2016. Their second studio album, '' Capacity'', was released in 2017. In 2019, the band signed to 4AD and released two studio albums: '' U.F.O.F.'' in May 2019 and '' Two Hands'' in October 2019. Forksville is a borough in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 110 at the 2020 census. It is the home of the 150-year-old Forksville General Store, down the road from the Sullivan County Fairgrounds, and near Worlds End State Park. The name comes from the confluence of Little Loyalsock Creek and Loyalsock Creek within the borough.
