Douglas Hart
Douglas Alexander Hart (born 2 May 1965) is a British musician and music video director. Career Hart was the first bassist and founding member of the Scottish band The Jesus and Mary Chain, and played with the group from 1984 to 1991. He is noted for wearing black sunglasses and usually playing with fewer than four strings on his bass guitar. In 1988, he branched out, releasing the solo acid house single "Speed Speed Ecstasy" using the name Acid Angels. While in the band, Hart started to direct music videos for other acts. He founded his own video company and has directed over 80 music videos. The videos include many for Creation Records, such as My Bloody Valentine's "You Made Me Realise" and "Feed Me with Your Kiss", and he directed concert videos for The Stone Roses, including ''Live Blackpool''. The Libertines
The Libertines are an English rock band, formed in London in 1997 by frontmen Carl Barât (vocals/guitar) and Pete Doherty (vocals/guitar). The band, centred on the songwriting partnership of Barât and Doherty, has also included John Hassall (musician), John Hassall (bass), and Gary Powell (musician), Gary Powell (drums) for most of its recording career. The band was part of the Post-punk revival, garage rock revival and spearheaded the movement in the UK. Jeannette Lee
Jeannette Lee is a British music record executive, music manager, filmmaker and former musician. A retail worker at the Acme Attractions store that, along with the SEX boutique run by Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood, was instrumental in spawning punk in the UK, she went on to become a member of post-punk band Public Image Ltd (PiL). Lee is currently co-owner of the independent record label Rough Trade Records. History Lee grew up in the 1970s in a council estate in London. To stay out of trouble she spent most of her time in her room listening to records. While she was at a club she was noticed by Don Letts, who asked her to work for a store he was managing, Acme Attractions. "Did You See Me Coming?" is a song by English synth-pop duo Pet Shop Boys, released on 1 June 2009 as the second single from their tenth studio album, '' Yes'' (2009). The single was made available in six formats: two-track CD, CD maxi, 12-inch vinyl, and three digital bundles, each with a different track listing. Presented are new tracks "After the Event", "The Former Enfant Terrible" and "Up and Down", which do not appear on ''Yes''. The Pet Shop Boys are an English synth-pop duo formed in London in 1981. "Sea Within a Sea" is a song by English rock band the Horrors, released on 17 March 2009 by XL Recordings as a single from their second studio album, '' Primary Colours''. The Horrors are an English rock band formed in Southend-on-Sea in 2005, consisting of lead vocalist Faris Badwan, guitarist Joshua Hayward, keyboardist and synthesizer player Tom Furse, bassist Rhys Webb, and drummer and percussionist Joe Spurgeon. Spiritualized (stylised as Spiritualized®) are an English rock band formed in 1990 in Rugby, Warwickshire, by Jason Pierce (often known as J. Spaceman), formerly of Spacemen 3. Sian Alice Group was an English post-rock band with roots in experimental music and the avant-garde. The group was founded in 2006 and began working on their debut album ''59.59'' shortly thereafter. Recorded at Grays Inn Road, Clervaux’s London studio, 59.59 spans exactly 59 minutes and 59 seconds. As Clervaux also works as an engineer and producer who has collaborated with J. Paul John Weller (born John William Weller; 25 May 1958) is an English singer-songwriter and musician. Weller achieved fame with the punk rock/ new wave/mod revival band the Jam (1972–1982). He had further success with the blue-eyed soul music of the Style Council (1983–1989), before establishing himself as a solo artist with his eponymous 1992 album. Despite widespread critical recognition as a singer, lyricist, and guitarist, Weller has remained a national, rather than international, star and much of his songwriting is rooted in English society. It was first released on 23 September 1991 in the United Kingdom by Creation Records and on 8 October 1991 in the United States by Sire Records. Primal Scream
Primal Scream are a Scottish rock band originally formed in 1982 in Glasgow by Bobby Gillespie (vocals) and Jim Beattie. The band's current lineup consists of Gillespie, Andrew Innes (guitar), Simone Butler (bass), and Darrin Mooney (drums). Barrie Cadogan has toured and recorded with the band since 2006 as a replacement after the departure of guitarist Robert "Throb" Young.
