Doug Girod
Douglas Allan Girod (born May 5, 1958) is an American educator, medical doctor, and the 18th chancellor of the University of Kansas. Prior to becoming chancellor, he was the University of Kansas Medical Center's executive vice chancellor, a position he had held since February 2013. Before being promoted to the executive vice chancellor at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Girod was the senior dean for the School of Medicine while dually serving as a surgeon at the University of Kansas Health System where he began his career in 1994. He is also a veteran of the United States Navy Reserve. Biography Education Girod was born and raised in Salem, Oregon. Les Miles
Leslie Edwin Miles (born November 10, 1953) is a former American football coach. He most recently served as the head coach at Kansas. His head coaching career began with the Oklahoma State Cowboys, where he coached from 2001 to 2004. Following that, he coached LSU from 2005 to 2016. Miles is nicknamed "the Hat" for his signature white cap, as well as "the Mad Hatter" for his eccentricities and play-calling habits. 2018 Kansas Jayhawks Football Season
The 2018 Kansas Jayhawks football team represented the University of Kansas in the 2018 NCAA Division I FBS football season. It was the Jayhawks 129th season. The Jayhawks were led by fourth-year head coach David Beaty. They were members of the Big 12 Conference. They played their games at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium, formally Memorial Stadium. The stadium was renamed following the Jayhawks 2017 season in December 2017 after a $50 million renovation was completed that was donated by Kansas alumnus David Booth. David Beaty (American Football)
David Beaty (born October 26, 1970) is an American football coach who is the head football coach at Denton High School in Denton, Texas. He was the head football coach at the University of Kansas from 2015 to 2018. Career Early years Beaty was Kansas' wide receivers coach from 2008 to 2009 and co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach in 2011. He also has been an assistant coach at Rice University and Texas A&M University. He is the former Vice Chancellor and director of athletics at the University of Arkansas and joined the University in 2008 after holding the same position at the University of Pittsburgh.
