Double Target
''Double Target'' is a 1987 film directed by Bruno Mattei. The film was released theatrically in West Germany as ''Der Kampfgigant'' in 1987. Plot The film starts with terrorists who attack American military bases in several Southeast Asian states. Ex-GI Bob Ross is smuggled into Vietnam by the CIA, where he is supposed to put the masterminds of the attacks out of action. In return, the secret service frees Bob's son who was born there from a re-education camp and brings him home to America. After heavy fighting with Viet Cong soldiers and Russian special forces, Ross also returns victorious to the United States. Release ''Double Target'' was released theatrically in West Germany on June 11, 1987. It was later released in the United Kingdom on the home video label Avatar in August 1987 as ''Double Target''. Bruno Mattei
Bruno Mattei (30 July 1931 – 21 May 2007) was an Italian film director, screenwriter, and film editor, editor who directed exploitation films in many genres, including Women in prison film, women in prison, nunsploitation, Zombie films, zombie, Mondo film, mondo, Cannibal film, cannibal, and Naziploitation, Nazisploitation films. Mattei's films often followed popular genre trends of the era. Mattei continued work as a director primarily in the Philippines until his death in 2007, just before he was to enter production on his fifth Zombie film. Biography Bruno Mattei was born on 30 July 1931 in Rome, Italy. Mattei grew up around films as his father owned a film editing studio. Claudio Fragasso
Claudio Fragasso (born 2 October 1951) is a film director and screenwriter. Fragasso first attempted to make art films in the early 1970s, then became a screenwriter in the Italian film industry in the mid-1970s. Fragasso met director Bruno Mattei, which led to a ten-year partnership from 1980 to 1990 during which the two worked together closely on films, with Fragasso's contributions often going uncredited. Fragasso's wife Rossella Drudi was also a screenwriter and collaborated with him on a number of projects.
