Dormy Open
The Dormy Open was a golf tournament on the Challenge Tour. It was first played in 2021 on the Öster by Stenson course at Österåker Golf Club in Åkersberga, Sweden, 20 km north-east of Stockholm. Åmmeberg
Åmmeberg is a locality situated in Askersund Municipality, Örebro County, Sweden with 590 inhabitants in 2010. It is situated at an estuary by a fjord of lake Vättern. It existed as early as the 12th century and had a mill owned by the convent in Riseberga. It was the regional centre of trade until the founding of Askersund. The first Swedish female aviator, Elsa Andersson, died at age 24 outside Åmmeberg during a parachute jump 22 January 1922 (her third ever). According to local tradition Queen Christina of Sweden was to confer upon Åmmeberg city privileges, but her carriage broke down in Askersund, and the queen who preferred not travel any further decided that Askersund was to have the city rights. It was the port of the mining industry in Zinkgruvan, an industry started by a Belgian company Vieille Montagne 1857. The mine belongs to Lundin Mining since June 2004. 2021 Challenge Tour
The 2021 Challenge Tour was a series of professional golf tournaments collectively known as the Challenge Tour. The Challenge Tour is Europe's official developmental tour and is organised by the PGA European Tour. It was introduced in 1986 and was originally called the Satellite Tour, before being renamed with its present title in 1990. Similarly to 2020, the season was to begin in February with three tournaments in South Africa co-sanctioned with the Sunshine Tour, but in mid-January the South African swing was postponed to April–May over COVID-19 pandemic concerns. The official schedule announcement was made on 27 January 2021. In April two back-to-back events in Sweden in May were added. In August, it was announced that the Hainan Open and the Foshan Open; both played in China, were cancelled. Jeremy Freiburghaus (born 30 May 1996) is a Swiss professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He won the 2022 English Trophy on the Challenge Tour. Early life and amateur career Freiburghaus started competing internationally at a young age, and won the 2012 Finnish International Junior. In 2015, he won the Memorial Olivier Barras in Crans-sur-Sierre, a professional tournament. He represented Switzerland in the European Young Masters, European Boys' Team Championship and European Amateur Team Championship, plus twice in the Eisenhower Trophy. Professional career Freiburghaus turned professional in 2019 and joined the Pro Golf Tour. The Challenge Tour is the second-tier men's professional golf tour in Europe. It is operated by the PGA European Tour and, as with on the main European Tour and the European Senior Tour, some of the events are played outside Europe. History The tour was introduced in 1986 and was initially called the ''Satellite Tour''. The Order of Merit was introduced in 1989, with the top five players on it winning membership of the European Tour for the following season.
