Doraha (film)
''Doraha'' is a 1967 Pakistani musical romance film directed by Pervaiz Malik. It starred Waheed Murad and Shamim Ara, with Deeba, Talish and Ibrahim Nafees in the supporting cast. The film become remarkable due to its music, which was composed by Sohail Rana. It was co-produced by Malik and Rana under banner ''United Talents''. At the box office, the film failed to become a big hit, as it was expected, but it later gained more importance after several years, especially during the 1980s and 1990s due to its music and songs. Plot ''Dorahas plot focuses on the love story of two lovers and its tragic end. Pervaiz Malik
Pervez Malik (1937 – 18 November 2008) was a Pakistani film director. He was the director of Pakistan's first platinum jubilee film, " Armaan" (1966). He directed more than 20 films, mostly in Urdu language, and received excellent reviews for many of his films from both film critics and the public. Early life Pervez Malik was nine years old when Pakistan became independent in 1947. His family had a background in military service, but he was influenced by his class fellow, Waheed Murad, whose father, ''Nisar Murad'', ran a film distribution business, named Film Arts. With the passage of time, they both learned the art of making and marketing films from Nisar Murad and his colleagues who were mostly film-industry personalities. Ahmed Rushdi (; 24 April 1934 – 11 April 1983) was a versatile Pakistani playback singer and was "an important contributor to the Cinema of Pakistan#The Golden Era (1959–1977), golden age of Pakistani film music". Masroor Anwar
Masroor Anwar (6 January 1944 – 1 April 1996) was a ghazal poet, film song lyricist and a film screenwriter. He wrote the lyrics for 'Ko Ko Korina', South Asia's first pop song, and working alongside Sohail Rana, film director Pervez Malik and film producer and actor Waheed Murad in the 1960s, was part of the country's golden age of cinema helping establish Karachi as a major hub for film production.
