Dora Budor
Dora Budor (born 1984) is a Croatian artist who lives and works in New York. She has exhibited extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe. Early life and education Budor was born in Zagreb in Croatia and lived there whilst she completed a BA in Architecture Studies (2003–2005) and an MFA in Design from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb (2003–2008). Budor moved to New York in 2009 where she studied Visual Art (New Genres) at the MFA Program of Columbia University School of The Arts, New York, in 2012. Work Budor's work has been shown internationally. Her first institutional solo exhibition in the United States was in 2015 at the Swiss Institute in New York, entitled ''Spring''. The same year her works have been exhibited as part of ''Inhuman'' at Fridericianum in Kassel. The KW Institute for Contemporary Art (also known as Kunst-Werke) is a contemporary art institution located in Auguststraße 69 in Berlin- Mitte, Germany. Klaus Biesenbach was the founding director of KW; the current director is Krist Gruijthuijsen. Guggenheim Fellowship
Guggenheim Fellowships are grants that have been awarded annually since by the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation to those "who have demonstrated exceptional capacity for productive scholarship or exceptional creative ability in the arts." Each year, the foundation issues awards in each of two separate competitions: * One open to citizens and permanent residents of the United States and Canada. * The other to citizens and permanent residents of Latin America and the Caribbean. The Latin America and Caribbean competition is currently suspended "while we examine the workings and efficacy of the program. The U.S. and Canadian competition is unaffected by this suspension." Pollock-Krasner Foundation
The Pollock-Krasner Foundation was established in 1985 for the purpose of providing financial assistance to individual working artists of established ability. It was established at the bequest of Lee Krasner, who was an American abstract expressionist painter and the widow of fellow painter Jackson Pollock. Krasner left approximately $23 million in cash, securities, and art to the foundation. Activities The foundation provides grants to artists internationally based on "recognizable artistic merit and demonstrable financial need". The foundation also gives out Lee Krasner Awards. These awards are based on the same criteria as grants but also recognize a lifetime of artistic achievement and are by nomination only. K11 ( Chinese: K11购物艺术中心; pinyin: K11 Gòuwù Yìshù Zhōngxīn, also known as K11 Art Mall) is a shopping mall, located on Huaihai Lu of the Xintiandi district, in the former Luwan District of Shanghai, China.
