Dor Daniel ( he, דור דניאל) born in Hod HaSharon, Israel on August 29, 1982 is an Israeli singer, songwriter and composer. Career Songwriting In 2000, his debut song was "Im Haiti Eloim" (meaning If I Were God) () which found some airtime on Israeli radio. He was just 18 at the time. After his military service in the Israeli Defense Forces, Dor Daniel started a songwriting career in earnest with his catchy melodic pop and rock compositions from 2005 to 2008, writing initially for Harel Skaat, who he knew while in the Army. Shlomi Shabat ( he, שלומי שבת; born August 30, 1954) is an Israeli vocalist and musician. He is of Turkish Eastern Sephardic Jewish origin. Early life Shabat was born in Yehud, Israel, to a family of Sephardic Jewish descent who immigrated from Turkey. He sings in Hebrew, Turkish, and Spanish. In humans, vocal cords, also known as vocal folds or voice reeds, are folds of throat tissues that are key in creating sounds through vocalization. The size of vocal cords affects the pitch of voice. Open when breathing and vibrating for speech or singing, the folds are controlled via the recurrent laryngeal branch of the vagus nerve. They are composed of twin infoldings of mucous membrane stretched horizontally, from back to front, across the larynx. They vibrate, modulating the flow of air being expelled from the lungs during phonation. Maya Bouskilla (or Buskila; he, מאיה בוסקילה; born November 9, 1977) is an Israeli singer. Early life Buskila was born Netanya, Israel, to a religious family of Moroccan-Jewish descent. She was discovered by a scout for Helicon Records, one of Israel's best selling labels, who heard her singing in a karaoke bar. Four years later, Roberto Ben-Shushan and Eyal Malul became her managers. Bouskilla claimed to still be religious when she was called up for mandatory service at the age of 18 and received a deferment. In April 2008, after criticism of her draft-dodging, Bouskilla voluntarily enlisted to the Israeli military for a short period, reportedly so she could set a good example for other young Israeli women. Her enlistment at the age of 30 made her one of the oldest new recruits ever to join the Israel Defense Forces.
