Donie Buckley
Donie Buckley (born early 1960s) is an Irish Gaelic football coach and former player. He played at full forward with his local club Castleisland Desmonds but never with the Kerry county team. His coaching has taken him all along the western coast from Clare to Galway, to Limerick, Kerry and Mayo. Career Buckley scored a last-minute goal for Castleisland Desmonds in the final of the 1985 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship to defeat St Vincents. Soon after retiring from playing he became involved in coaching. His coaching career began in Clare where he led Milltown Malbay in 1990 and Faughs in 1994 to Clare Senior Football Championships. He served as joint manager with Michael Brennan of the Clare county team in 2006. He then moved on to the Galway county team, working as forwards coach under the management of Peter Ford for a year. Castleisland Desmonds GAA
Castleisland Desmonds are a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Castleisland, County Kerry, Ireland. The club won its first County Championship in 1950. They won others in 1981, 1982 and 1984. They won the Munster Club Championship and All-Ireland Club Championship in 1985. Celebrity Bainisteoir In 2010, the club was selected to enter RTÉ's '' Celebrity Bainisteoir'' TV show. Kevin McStay
Kevin McStay (born 9 May 1962) is an Irish Gaelic football manager, commentator, analyst and former player. He has been manager of the senior Mayo county team since 2022. McStay was educated at St Jarlath's College in Tuam during the 1970s, playing for the school team. In retirement from playing McStay became an analyst with ''The Sunday Game''; however, he remained involved as a manager and coach. Conor Laverty is a Gaelic footballer who plays for Kilcoo and, formerly, the Down county team. He has been manager of the Down county team since 2022. Career Laverty played at senior level for the Down county team. He played as a forward. Peter Keane (Gaelic Footballer)
Peter Keane (born 1971) is an Irish Gaelic football manager and former player who, most recently, managed the Kerry senior football team. As a player, he lined out with South Kerry Championship club St Mary's. Keane is one of nine children. Both of his parents ran the Ringside Rest Hotel in Cahersiveen. His father Tom was a builder who spent time as chairman of the South Kerry board. Peter Keane played football in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He played for St Mary's alongside fellow forward Maurice Fitzgerald. In 1988, the pair won a Kerry under-21 title for South Kerry. However, his county career was limited to minor (1989), county junior (1990) and under-21 (captaining the 1992 team to a Munster title). The 2017 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final, the 130th event of its kind and the culmination of the 2017 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, was played at Croke Park in Dublin on 17 September 2017. Stephen Rochford
Stephen Rochford (born 10 October 1978) is an Irish Gaelic football coach and former manager and player. He was manager of the senior Mayo county team from 2015 to 2018. Raised in Crossmolina, County Mayo, Rochford was educated at Crossmolina Boys' National School and Gortnor Abbey. He was introduced to football by primary school teacher John Cosgrove and Crossmolina coach Tom McNulty. He won Connacht School titles for Gortnor Abbey, playing under Gerry Leonard. He simultaneously came to prominence at juvenile and underage levels with the Crossmolina team, winning a county under-21 championship medal in 1997. The 2012 All-Ireland Football Final, the 125th event of its kind and the culmination of the 2012 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, was played at Croke Park, Dublin, on 23 September 2012.
