Donald Cammell
Donald Seton Cammell (17 January 1934 – 24 April 1996) was a Scottish painter, screenwriter, and film director. He has a cult reputation largely due to his debut film ''Performance'', which he wrote the screenplay for and co-directed with Nicolas Roeg. He died by suicide after the last film he directed, '' Wild Side'', was taken away from him and recut by the production company. Biography Early years Donald Seton Cammell was born 17 January 1934 in the Outlook Tower on Castlehill, on the approach to Edinburgh Castle in Scotland. He was the elder son of the poet and writer Charles Richard Cammell (who wrote a book on occultist Aleister Crowley) and Iona Macdonald. His middle name Seton came from his godfather, the Scottish naturalist Seton Gordon. He was educated at Shrewsbury House School and Westminster School. China Kong
China Kong (born 1960) is an American actress, writer, and producer. She is the widow of director Donald Cammell, having met him in 1974, when she was 14 years of age and he was 40. After having an affair, the couple married four years later, in 1978. Her most noted acting role was in Cammell's 1987 film ''White of the Eye (film), White of the Eye'', which she also co-wrote. Pietro Annigoni, OMRI (7 June 1910 – 28 October 1988) was an Italian artist, portrait painter, fresco painter and medallist, best known for his painted portraits of Queen Elizabeth II. His work was in the Renaissance tradition, contrasting with the modernist style that prevailed in his time. Life Born in Milan in 1910, Annigoni was influenced by the Italian Renaissance. From the end of the 1920s on, he lived mainly in Florence where he studied at the College of the Piarist Fathers. Frank Mazzola (March 7, 1935 – January 13, 2015) was an American actor and film editor. Career Mazzola was born in Los Angeles, California. His father was in movies in the silent era. As a child and young adult, Mazzola worked as an actor. In 1955, he acted in ''Rebel Without a Cause'' (among other films) with James Dean, Sal Mineo, Natalie Wood, and Dennis Hopper.
