Don Richman
Don Richman (1931 — 8 November 1986) was an American sports executive and script writer. He was a key figure in the creation of the Seattle Supersonics in 1967, the first professional team to play in the Northwest region of the United States. Early life and education Richman was born in 1931 and spent his childhood in Hartford, Connecticut. For his post-secondary education, he went to Vanderbilt University and the University of Southern California. While he was at USC, Richman was a sports information director from 1956 to 1959. Biography After graduating from USC, Richman created a public relations company with Al Davis in 1960. During his PR career, he came up with the name of the Los Angeles Chargers when the team was established. Seattle Supersonics
The Seattle SuperSonics (commonly shortened to Sonics) were an American professional basketball team based in Seattle. The SuperSonics competed in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the Western Division (1967–1970), and later as a member of the Western Conference's Pacific (1970–2004) and Northwest (2004–2008) divisions. After the 2007–08 season ended, the team relocated to Oklahoma City, where it now plays as the Oklahoma City Thunder. Sam Schulman owned the team from its 1967 inception until 1983. Roy Rogers Franchise Company, LLC is an American chain of fast food restaurants primarily located in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern United States. The chain originated as the rebranding of the ''RoBee's House of Beef'' chain of Fort Wayne, Indiana, acquired by the Marriott Corporation in February 1968. However, Marriott first used the Roy Rogers Roast Beef name on conversions of the company's Junior Hot Shoppes in the Washington, D.C. area in April 1968, then the existing RoBee's stores. An aggressive nationwide franchising campaign was launched. At its peak, the chain included over 600 locations. The chain now has 41 locations in five states, either company owned or franchised.
